GOOD MORNING EVERYBODY!!
It's 55 degrees here this morning, very damp and wet after some good heavy overnight rain---the first in a long time. It sounded good on the trailer roof. No big black moose out there yet this morning, at least not that we saw on our way in here!
Today is pink day for the faculty---we are supposed to wear pink clothes and pink anything. The other classes have different colors. Only 3 of us ever showed up for the faculty dance practice, so I can't imagine that will fly on Friday. Thriller has quite a lot of steps and moves to learn. I, for one, don't want to go out there and make a total fool of myself----although, I suppose that's not much different than usual for me! I rummaged through my barrels of clothes and found a pair of pink pants from the ancient days that fit me, and I have a blouse with some pink in the plaid. I also have some pink and red socks I'll wear with my sneakers, as it's also a gym day for me and my students again. I dread that for my one big, physically challenged guy who is still forced to be in that class.
Friday morning, my class has a trip to Baker Mountain scheduled. Baker is right in the village where I teach, is a short hike up for anyone in half-way decent shape, and has a nice view at the top. But for a lot of kids in my class, the outing will mean a walking trip around Moody Pond which is on the level rather than the hike up Baker. I imagine I will be stuck on the level with those who will complain the entire way----sigh! It's been quite a while since I went up Baker. I have a picture of a friend of mine and all our kids on the summit, picknicking, with all the kids with shirts off---even my daughter who is now teaching at St. Lawrence U.!!!
Friday afternoon is our pep rally for the upcoming football game with Tupper Lake.
Coffee is vanilla nut again, and tastes good, so pull up a chair and tell us about your day! There may be some goodies around here somewhere!
