TUESDAY MORNING

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

TUESDAY MORNING

Postby Nasoosie » Tue Sep 15, 2009 4:21 am

GOOD MORNING EVERYBODY!!

It's 55 degrees here this morning, very damp and wet after some good heavy overnight rain---the first in a long time. It sounded good on the trailer roof. No big black moose out there yet this morning, at least not that we saw on our way in here!

Today is pink day for the faculty---we are supposed to wear pink clothes and pink anything. The other classes have different colors. Only 3 of us ever showed up for the faculty dance practice, so I can't imagine that will fly on Friday. Thriller has quite a lot of steps and moves to learn. I, for one, don't want to go out there and make a total fool of myself----although, I suppose that's not much different than usual for me! I rummaged through my barrels of clothes and found a pair of pink pants from the ancient days that fit me, and I have a blouse with some pink in the plaid. I also have some pink and red socks I'll wear with my sneakers, as it's also a gym day for me and my students again. I dread that for my one big, physically challenged guy who is still forced to be in that class.

Friday morning, my class has a trip to Baker Mountain scheduled. Baker is right in the village where I teach, is a short hike up for anyone in half-way decent shape, and has a nice view at the top. But for a lot of kids in my class, the outing will mean a walking trip around Moody Pond which is on the level rather than the hike up Baker. I imagine I will be stuck on the level with those who will complain the entire way----sigh! It's been quite a while since I went up Baker. I have a picture of a friend of mine and all our kids on the summit, picknicking, with all the kids with shirts off---even my daughter who is now teaching at St. Lawrence U.!!!

Friday afternoon is our pep rally for the upcoming football game with Tupper Lake.

Coffee is vanilla nut again, and tastes good, so pull up a chair and tell us about your day! There may be some goodies around here somewhere!
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

good morning ladies,
coffee tastes mighty good this morning, thanks Soos, and I think I'll have a little
toast with it before I head out to work. I'm getting trained for a special project
today with the field trips, that should give me several extra hours for a couple of
weeks I think. Gonna learn how to fill out the field trip requests for the day we
do bus evacuation drills. Each school and each driver for that school will get one.
By law we have to do two a year and the first one is always the entire school, then
the second one is usually just the kids you bring in on your morning run.
About time to get dressed and I'll cruise through a few posts before I go. Have a
great day and be safe.

It's a beautiful fall morning in Maryland. The Maverick is in the driveway and I will spend the day doing some serious packing. I have misplaced my new camera and had hoped after a nights sleep I would remember where. but I didn't. I need to replace the large blind in the sitting area and hope I can without dismantling the valance. I haven't had this much fun since building a fort in the woods with the neighborhood boys. :D The rv was gone for so long its like getting a new one. The cabover looks great. Really looking forward to the Pa. gtg. Later

Morning, all....Well, the leaves are letting me get out here a little today, so am adding my morning greeting... :D

Have the morning to work a little on my stitching, then when Ernie gets back from his mowing, we're taking down the screen room from the awning and may wash the 5er, too :o
We washed the screen room yesterday afternoon....did a pretty good job...will put it under the bed storage and use it again when we get to GA....

Got my regular flu shot this last Saturday when Ernie and I attended a Retiree Appreciation Day Seminar at Carlisle Barracks. Must have gotten a very "fresh" one as have been feeling a little under the weather since then....nothing that keeps me in bed, but just achy and needing "power naps" , but with the help of a couple of asprin every 4-6 hours, I keep going ;) It's getting better.....avoided the flu shot for 30 years as I had a bad reaction while in Army Basic Training, but except for this year, I've done pretty good with them the last 3 years...go figure

Okay, got to get my butt in gear...
Have a great day, all............... :D

I'm here,... running so late that I'm already at work! I only have four students this hour. Two are creating PowerPoint presentations, one is researching colleges and one is viewing horse videos. She is a senior and going into equine studies.

I have a new cat and she seems to think that she has to sleep on my shoulder,... Consequently I didn't get much sleep last night. She's a gift from my 8 y/o grandson as my other cat, Middy, disappeared two months ago. As I live in the woods I fear that the coyotes got her. I think this new one will be an indoor cat. I hate to do it to her but I want her to be safe.

Hope you all have a great day!

Morning all. We're parked at Holly Point State Park @ the Falls Lake Recreation area in Wake Forest, NC. Our regular site was taken, so we are now across from one of the bathroom/shower facilities and a little farther from the swimming area. Had the two youngest boys over yesterday for lunch and swimming. Went great, although they could wear you out. The youngest is being potty trained, so we did a lot of running to the bathroom :D Watched the US Open final, relaxed in the evening and will be talking with my DIL to plan the rest of the week. Am waiting til we leave to do any major cleaning to the MH, since I know we will be having the kids over for camping, swimming and sleeping. Well, I'm finishing my 2nd cup of coffee and then off for whatever the rest of the day holds. Enjoy! carold

Good morning all.

I'm up way too early today. Something woke me a little before 5:00 am and I could not get back to sleep. Made a pot of coffee which I've almost finished while watching the sky gradually gain some light. The air is so heavy with moisture I cannot believe it is not raining yet. Lots of rain in forecast for next several days. I can hear those pesky little acorns and hickory nuts dropping onto the roof and rolling into my clean gutters. Not fond of that sound.

Nothing big planned for the day. Have a few errands that must be done much to my dismay as I do not like driving in the rain.

Wishing each of you a pleasant and peaceful day.

Good morning Ladies

The sun is shining but its a little cool this morning here in Blaine, WA. I am getting ready to go to jury duty again today. Yesterday we had to fill out a questionnaire for the attorneys. Today they start asking questions and seating the jury. On one hand I hope I don't get picked (need to keep working on things getting ready for our trip) but on the other hand I wouldn't mind (it is interesting). Guess time will tell.

Well, I hope everyone has a great day. Take care and talk to you all soon.

Good Morning to all you in the West with us and Good Afternoon to all you Easterners.
Well we got half the paperwork done to register Jennie yesterday - will finish the rest sometime this week. Visited quickly with youngest son and wife yesterday - Found out he had been in a bad accident a month ago - he was stopped and rear ended by a car doing 60 miles per hour. He has to see a specialist about his knee this week. Women and 2 kids in other car were taken to hospital from scene.....Oldest son and wife are coming into town to visit - from Big Pine, CA. Going to have bbq tomorrow nite. Will be nice.
Did a lot of walking yesterday - toe is very mad at me today. Not so hot today only going up to 93!!!
