Sweet Sunday!

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Sweet Sunday!

Postby Cedar518 » Sun Sep 13, 2009 7:35 am

I think the sun will be shining here once the fog clears! For some reason i was awake until nearly 2 a.m. this morning,... geeeesh,.. now I'll be tired all day. have chores to do,... gotta do more laundry, mow some lawn and vacuum in here.

Soosie, I think one of your mice found my house! Saw it in the kitchen this a.m. I now have a trap set with swiss cheese,... I don't have a "catch and release" program,.. for me it's more like a "goodnight irene" program. 8-) can't help it,... they breed like crazy,... yukky things. Dang little thing came out from under my dishwasher and sat there and looked at me and I stood there and looked at it. :o We were both so surprised,... little stinker!

Well, I'd better get busy,.... I want to get enough done so I can have a clear conscience to watch a movie later today.

Have a great day everyone!

GOOD MORNING CEDAR AND EVERYBODY!

[Did that mouse have any nailpolish on its back?? :) ]

I'm late getting on as Molly and I were watching a moose calf eat apples by the old tree here by the trailer! She is a HUGE animal! And very filled out, as welll----not thin like the whitetailed deer. Her ears stick way out to the sides more than the deer, too----what a totally handsome animal she is! (I suppose it could be a young male moose, but there were no signs of any antlers as yet.) I brought my regular camera out here last night to see if I could sneak a shot, but as soon as the critter detected movement in the trailer (I got up to get the camera) she panicked and loped off. Next time I will keep it right in the bed with me, and, if the condensation on the windows will allow a window shot, I'll try one that way. I still haven't had the time or interest to try setting up the automatic game-trail camera again.

It's a cool morning---45 F.---damp, and very grey skies. Nothing happy or sunny about Sunday today, for sure....at least not yet at this altitude.

Guess I'll strip my bed out here and wash all the sheets, along with anything else I can find in the house to add to the load. Then I will vacuum the house, and try to once again tidy stuff up. I guess I might as well get all my painting supplies put away for the year, as well. Next I will attempt to get my woodstove pipes together, although I know it would be far easier to wait for Mandy and Joe to come and help me do that.

When I have enough money to go shopping (and, after bills yesterday, I can't do it until next weekend after my SS check gets deposited this Wednesday) I need to get some tarps to cover my woodpiles before the snow begins to cover them. My inside rack is full to the brim as I have been carrying in logs, one at a time, all summer long as I have gone by the piles. After I get my wood stove back in working order, I can be warm on these cold mornings without spending any kerosene reserves.

Coffee is tasting extra good today, and is feeling great on my hands in the warm cup! Thanks, Cedar!

Now to read all the new posts and kill some more time before I get the vacuum up and roaring! Happy Sunday!

So far no more mice here since I plugged that hole in the floor in the living room. Made when they ran the TV cable. Hopefully that was their way in and I found it!

Had a great mini GTG with another lady RVer I met on the old forum. She is a hoot! Pulls a 35 ft 5th wheel. My DD and family borrowed Little Missy last night, so I wasn't the first to sleep in her. But that's ok, really. :( ;) They'll return her today and I plan on taking her out on Tuesday, after I bowl, to a state park just up the interstate.

So today I'll make lists of what I need as to food, clothes for the shake down trip. Other than that, nothing going on.

The weather here has been wonderful. Not too hot, and a nice breeze. Chance of a brief shower/T-storm this afternoon.

Have a great day!

Cool here this morning - love it. We've had a rain storm every afternoon for the past several days. If there's thunder involved the dogs require that I get on the bed with them so they can plaster themselves on each side of me and Sassy wants the covers over her so she can't see/hear anything. Spoiled? Nah.

I'm with Soos, I use the catch and release traps. I just can't deal with those little dead bodies and I happen to think mice are kinda cute, just not in my rig/house. When I was in Las Cruces I caught 7 of them. Took them all the way across the campground to the tenting area and turned them loose.  I have to be careful taking the dogs out after dark, have a skunk wandering around. Haven't seen him/her yet but sure can smell it.

I've started packing stuff up getting ready to leave. Will probably leave here the 27th and stay in Deming for a week at a park with an indoor heated pool, then head for home. I've really missed not using the pool here - they keep it just too blasted cold. Everyone complains about the pool but the owners are trying to conserve on propane.

Am so ready to hit the road - six months is a loooooong time in one place.

good morning ladies,
ahhhh sweet sunday indeed. I get to do nothing today :D at least it will seem like
it cause the houseworks all done, laundry is done, and yard is done. Although I
could probably find a little of each as busy work but what the hey, its sunday and
anything else can wait until next weekend. Went over to daughters friends house
yesterday to meet her dogs which I will be dog sitting next weekend. She only lives
about 2 miles down the road so I'll be running back and forth to make sure my own
don't get neglected. Its good money but I won't reap any reward from it as daughter
gets it to help reimburse her for the ac motor. Maybe next time.
Coffee is tasty and I was going to have a little toast but I need to get to the store.
Guess thats one chore I still need to do, then its nothing the rest of the day.
Have a good day and be safe everbody.

Good Morning All - I forgot I am on Pacific Time now - thought Wow everyone sure is up early. Dah! air conditioner ran off and on all night last night. Today is supposed to be 98 - Maybe Indiana weather isn't so bad after all.
The people next to us here in the RV park - hitched up their 5th wheel and ROARED off last night at 15 to 1 a.m. Rather strange. Think I am glad they are gone - might have been that 1 in a million RVer who are a pain. When we stopped in front of them to unhook she gave us daggers. Oh well. Today is a relax day (I say now.) Then tomorrow to the DMV, RV place, tool place, used book place......and on and on. And to the grocery store - going to stock up on Bernsteins Restaurant House Italian dressing - can't get it in the East. Bill has a list a mile long of things to do.
Have a good day.

Good Morning All!

Finally a bit of positive news to report. Niece is out of hospital and seems to be doing well. She is somewhat settled in at her mother's house. I'm hopeful that giving my sister something to focus on other than the recent loss of husband and her poor financial and health situation will be good for her. As stressful as the situation is, this could end up being good for both of them.

I'm looking forward to a quite day at home. Perhaps getting a few things caught up around here. GAD! There is so much I don't know where to start. Also a pile of bills demanding attention. Keep repeating "Don't panic. Pick one little thing at a time, finish and move on." I've never been among the best of housekeepers so any excuse to let it slide seems to work for me.

Weather nice for now but rain moving in this evening and continuing all week. I did get the blower out yesterday and cleared the long steep driveway. Trying to blow acorns and nuts up hill is a challenge. My drive and walks need to be pressure washed but that will have to wait. Think I'm hiring someone for that and gutter cleaning (I don't own a pressure washer or ladder tall enough to get to roof.).

Have a safe and fun day.

I'll chime in today too, just because I'm not racing out the door at 6:30. :)

It's foggy here today, and it makes me happy. It's the first sign of Fall that we've had, and it'll help with the fire that's still burning in the wilderness area behind me in the mountains. We're supposed to have weather in the 90s again by week's end, so I know we're not done with the heat yet. But there's hope ...

Have a list of little errands to do today, but nothing big. I like Sundays.

Well it came over us & we could not control it & we have another RV again!!!!!! :)
Well really-- we have been searching for months for one that was all out gassed of all chemicals & formaldehyde & no smokers & no chemicals & no scented products-- etc-- etc---- that we could make my "safe home on wheels" again-- since I suffer from Multi chemical sensitivities & Environmental Illness & Electromagnetic Hypersensitivity & etc ----etc----
We went with a Class A this time-----( last we had a 36 ft 5th wheel---)
So we are ON THE ROAD AGAIN!!!! Not full time---- just trips & traveling & maybe warm weather this winter----

This time we have a Class A/ Coronado 32 ft / made by Fleetwood!!
So we are back in the saddle again!!!! :) On the Road again------ Happy Trails--- OO
