I tried to respond to this thread one day with a very limited connection - I see my response was very limited also - as in gone LOL
I loved my toaster oven. Since getting the convection oven in here, I got rid of it.
That said, you will never convince me, if I get another toaster oven, to get anything but Black and Decker - cheap model - with broiler. I loved both my Black and Deckers. I hated the Hamilton Beach - and once, I replaced a Black and Decker with a very expensive, fancy Krups - looked great - was a pain to clean and didn't do me as well as my B&D - so I gave it away and went back and got another B&D. LOL
Actually, my criteria when I got the one I had in the rv - was I wanted the smallest one I could find that would fit under my sofa - so actually found one smaller that didn't work cuz it was too high - and that had an easy to clean tray - although I always put a piece of aluminum foil on that tray and then a not easy one wouldn't really matter - just occasionally change the foil - and it had to have the broiler. I used it a lot for that.
I miss my toaster oven - but part of my deal with myself when I got the convection oven is that it meant I could get rid of one not built-in appliance. And it's worked good for me.
Good luck to those of you getting your first toaster ovens. You'll be amazed how much you can do in one.
