Summer arrived at 1:45 am this morning. Our temperature is about 61 at this 7:00 hour, so is rather summer-like. But it's more overcast than yesterday, and slightly raining/misting out there.....glad I did the lawn mowing yesterday.
I woke up to Cosmos with Carl Sagan----first time I had seen any of that in years! Made me remember how much I did love him, his sooooothing voice, and what his mind could conceive. What a great loss we all suffered with his dying. I also love the music that accompanied his Cosmos videos.
Now back to earth in Tehran on CNN. Amazing things are going on over there since that election, for sure. It will be very interesting to see what happens in the days to follow. I would not want to celebrate summer in Iran.
I am hoping you all who are on the road are having decent weather so you can enjoy whatever sights and sites you come across.
Barbzee's kitchen is open on the weekends for the first to arrive, so here I am! She has all the usual goodies! C'mon in and sit awhile and tell us about your day.
Coffee out here in the trailer is hazlenut again, but I think I'll make a cup of blueberry cobbler for my seconds----I use my little single-cup dripper thing when camping, so I can have a variety of flavors. I lit my hot water heater this morning, too, so I can wash up some dishes out here. And the water will stay pretty much hot all day. I could actually take my bath out here, which I may just do.
My local Phoebe bird is singing its morning song, guarding its nest, as are the White-throated sparrows, robins, chickadees, wood thrushes, crows, white-winged cross-bills, and various sparrows in the fields. I love the sounds of mornings out here. I would be outside in the screen room if all those surfaces were not wet with heavy dew. Maybe I'll take a towel out there for my next cup f coffee, however.
Have a wonderful first day of summer, you all, and check in with us so we know what's up and where you are and what you are seeing. We like to share!
