HAPPY FIRST DAY OF SUMMER!!

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

HAPPY FIRST DAY OF SUMMER!!

Postby Nasoosie » Sun Jun 21, 2009 6:21 am

Summer arrived at 1:45 am this morning. Our temperature is about 61 at this 7:00 hour, so is rather summer-like. But it's more overcast than yesterday, and slightly raining/misting out there.....glad I did the lawn mowing yesterday.

I woke up to Cosmos with Carl Sagan----first time I had seen any of that in years! Made me remember how much I did love him, his sooooothing voice, and what his mind could conceive. What a great loss we all suffered with his dying. I also love the music that accompanied his Cosmos videos.

Now back to earth in Tehran on CNN. Amazing things are going on over there since that election, for sure. It will be very interesting to see what happens in the days to follow. I would not want to celebrate summer in Iran.

I am hoping you all who are on the road are having decent weather so you can enjoy whatever sights and sites you come across.

Barbzee's kitchen is open on the weekends for the first to arrive, so here I am! She has all the usual goodies! C'mon in and sit awhile and tell us about your day.

Coffee out here in the trailer is hazlenut again, but I think I'll make a cup of blueberry cobbler for my seconds----I use my little single-cup dripper thing when camping, so I can have a variety of flavors. I lit my hot water heater this morning, too, so I can wash up some dishes out here. And the water will stay pretty much hot all day. I could actually take my bath out here, which I may just do.

My local Phoebe bird is singing its morning song, guarding its nest, as are the White-throated sparrows, robins, chickadees, wood thrushes, crows, white-winged cross-bills, and various sparrows in the fields. I love the sounds of mornings out here. I would be outside in the screen room if all those surfaces were not wet with heavy dew. Maybe I'll take a towel out there for my next cup f coffee, however.

Have a wonderful first day of summer, you all, and check in with us so we know what's up and where you are and what you are seeing. We like to share!

Happy travels!

well good morning ladies,
its a beautiful morning here in the desert, and will go out and enjoy more coffee
on the patio. Stayed out there yesterday for quite awhile before the temps got
to warm for me. Did alot of yardwork and got that all tucked into the trash
dumpster and set it out on the curb. Still seems odd for me to do that on a Saturday.
Pickup has always been on monday and thursday, now this new company stops on
saturday and wednesday.
Sat with Pixie for quite awhile, she had another seizure yesterday and it hit her
when she was coming down the stairs, poor girl. Thank the lord she did not get
hurt.
Extra laundry goin on, bedding, rugs, and my window covers (the sheets I use to
cover over the shades to keep the brightness out) its amazing how much dust
they collect. Arizona is a dusty state cause its so dry.
Woke up thinking of Echo this morning, hope the next report we get will be good
news and all is well with her health.
Thats about it on my end of the world. Hope everyone has a good day, and good
weather to enjoy it.

Happy solstice all!

I just got home and unloaded the groceries that need to be back in the kitchen as i don't expect to go again until I leave for bluegrass in Brandon, VT on July 7th.

We had no rain,... nice,... some overcast, some sunny hours alternating. We were so very lucky to be the only ones on our loop. talk about a private campground. Resident blue heron and beaver were a bit short of patience at that crazy woman who kept trying to take their picture.

Hated to leave,...doing laundry now.

Hope everyone is doing fine and having a great day!
