Thursday, Thursday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Thursday, Thursday

Postby Redwahine » Thu Oct 04, 2012 8:35 am

Yes, it's Thursday. Crazy, crazy, crazy. Grabbing a toasted bagel with cream cheese and a quick cup of coffee from my Keurig. Sorry, no time to offer for friends. Taking Tyler to jail, loading truck with everything we think we need for our first time ever in an RV together. then driving to MS to pick up our brand new 5ver. Excited, scarred, nauseated, happy dance!!! All at the same time. Will post pix.

Will drop DD at the airport as we head toward MS. Really enjoyed spending a week with her. Didn't do much. She slept a lot. We got massages, mani/pedi, went shooting, saw several movies, ate at restaurants for fav foods :P and a little shopping. Will miss her so much. She has two job interviews on Friday to prepare for. Keeping my fingers crossed.

So glad to hear Ms Reba is doing well after her surgery. Linda, he isn't good enough for you. Barb, love the new apt and the new neighbor :P

Everyone have great day and stay safe. Aloha.

GOOD MORNING RED AND ALL!

I can feel the excitement in your post this morning! I wish I could be along on this first trip in your new rig! I can't wait to hear the next post from you and be able to see some new pics! Hope you have a fantastic day!

Was so very glad to hear about Ms. Reba coming home last evening, and making her bed where she wanted it! As someone mentioned, you can't keep a good bitch down!

Barbie, I can't wait to see some pics of your newest place and your new neighbor! I hope your kitties get along with each other and like each other enough to keep company and play.

Gotta run here now and head to town to shop for birthday present for my grandson, his first one, and get a few grocery supplies to tide me over for a while.

Happy Thursday to all!
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

Yay, Red! Let me know how it's going!

Going out of town this weekend - no trailer. Staying in a high-falutin' hotel that my sister picked out.

The Land Dinghy is headed for the shop next week for an axle flip. Gotta make the girl just a little taller so she quits dragging bottom (er, tongue jack) just getting out of the driveway - and I don't have a steep driveway. My sewer lines are literally less than a foot off the ground on the best of days... I need to call them today and remind them we are coming in for that flip so they have the parts. I am going camping starting on the 18th. Then the TX GTG after that.

Yay Red! I am so excited for you. I know you will love it and I cannot wait to hear about your adventures and see the pictures. Take your time and drive safe.

Soos, have fun shopping for that first birthday for your grandson.

I spent all day at CW yesterday with all three dogs getting the new couch put in, the in motion satellite system, bigger door handle for Mom to get in the rig, tire pressure and temperature monitor. I was so proud of the dogs. We were in the lounge from 8 in the morning until about 6 last night. Luke and Rascal were quiet and very well behaved. Of course, Belle had to let everyone know she was there by growling everytime she heard anyone walking by for most of the day. By about 4 yesterday afternoon, she quit that too. Being blind, that is her reflex when she hears something she does not recognize. I took the dogs out for a walk about once an hour to the back of their lot. It was like having 3 little kids to cart around in a lot of ways.

I don't like the new couch as much as the old one, but am OK with it. It will make it where Mom can sleep comfortably. Because the old couch was on a platform on the slide, this couch sits a lot higher. Also had to buy 2 sets of those plastic jack platform thingies. When the bed is out, the legs are 5 inches off the floor. Takes 5 of the plastic thingies on each leg and the bottom rail to make it level. Otherwise, her feet would be a lot lower than her head. Also found out the tile floor was only grouted up to where the original couch sat so I am going to have to do some grouting to the new couch. May put a throw rug over that area temporarily until I can get the grout to get it done.

After Mom and Paul make it to this CG where I am now, we will need to call CW to schedule the installation of the base plate, tow bar and braking system for the Jeep Wrangler she traded her Kia in on. She got the Wrangler yesterday and had the chair lift moved from the Kia to the Wrangler. Mom and Paul should be in here sometime today.

Hope everyone has a great day and if you are traveling, stay safe.

Good morning

Today is my short day :P :P Have to do some cleaning in the rig, get packages ready to send to the grands for Halloween and meeting a friend for coffee at Denny's then stopping at Walmart to pick up some test strips...thought I had another box of them but can't find them anywhere. Also need to pick up some yogurt.

We have a Jeep Wrangler and love it Dawn!! Glad you won't have to worry about a dolly. Hope your Mom is feeling better.

Have a great day everyone!!!

Dawn - she doesn't have problems getting in and out of the Wrangler with her legs? I like Jeeps - Mark has one but it's lifted and has big tires. I know the way the door is built, there is a huge lip you have to get your legs over getting in and out.

Good morning--well, I missed it by 15 mins! Decided to stay home today--3 days of teaching & I'm beat! Well, think I did too many chores over the weekend & my old body didn't handle it very well. So, good news for Ms Reba, doing well after her op? Barbie finding a sweet single neighbor? RED TAKING OFF FOR HER FIRST RV TRIP?!!!! Oh yes, tis HAPPY DANCE time! :D BJ, what can we say :( Are these "homes" like the typical stationary homes--always something to do? Saw the new "baby" on the Pets topic!!! :P Soos, I so appreciate yo-r very kind intention to show me aro-nd. I certainly don't want to impose on Orion's bday weekend--his first!!! :P We'll find another time to meet--they're talking frost here for early Mon a.m!!! So I may stay home to protect my flowers--they're still so grand that I'd hate to lose them to one measly old frost! :( A new Wrangler for Dawn's mom! So many things happening today! For me, back to cooking maters  --the ones from last year that have been in my freezer! Hope y'all been having a good day so far, & my very good wishes for a great rest of the day! :)

The Jeep has Nerf bars and that helps Mom get in and out. She drove it from Aledo to past Burleson where I am camped following Paul's rig today. She is glad I will be doing most of the driving of the Jeep when we sight see. Mom is sleeping in her new bed tonight. Hopefully she will be comfortable. May have to get a memory foam topper. I'll know in the morning.
