Monday, Monday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Monday, Monday

And the sky is blue...well it was earlier tonight. The stars were so bright it looked as though you could just reach out and touch them. The Pink Flamingo GTG is wrapping up today with most of the ladies pulling out. Two of them left yesterday. Sprinter is leaving early this a.m. for work. Ooops that four letter word again. Then over the morning the rest will be pulling down and rolling out.

Plan to have boiled eggs a little later with some butter and salt on them and a big cup of coffee. Here is hoping all the sistahs on the road are careful today and keeping an eye out for the rest of the crazy drivers. If you are parked you better be having some fun.

Monday!? I haven't even gone to bed yet

I guess the early "Birdie" gets the morning coffee!!!

My roommate's daughter planted some wildflower seeds last fall and they have come up pretty much looking like weeds (no flowers), so I bought a bunch of fake wildflowers "yesterday" and after she leaves for school, I am going to put them all in the ground among the "weeds", and see what she says when she gets home after school! She will get a kick out of it I am sure!
(I will take before and after photos :D )
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Good Morning Birdie, Barbie and all,

Sounds like everybody had a good weekend for the most part. Nancy, thanks for sendng the rain here, we certainly have had some and now things are wet and that will help keep the fire danger down. It has been very high here and this past weekend, some people who were apparently camping on private property had their campfire get away from them. it burned 55 acres including their truck, trailer and equipment and threatened some nearby homes as well. Good thing there wasn't much wind.

Hope none of our "sisters" were in the mess of tornados that are ripping across the mid section of the country. This same weather front is now affecting Michigan, but all it did up here was give us heavy rain. Supposed to be very windy and getting colder as the day progresses, with snow showers late today and tonight again. I do know that Linda is somewhere in that though, as she has been experienceing high winds. Linda, hope your awning stays put. Put some straps around your support arms on the RV as well, that will keep them from vibrating and loosening up your awning too. Drive carefully all thouse who are venturing out. I know Kathleen is supposed to start for home tomorrow, so hopefully the weather front will have moved out of her way. By the way, it was so nice seeing you post to Morning coffee again.

My weekend was busy, but I did have some time to relax as well. Only thing was, my vacum died about half way through my moring vacuming, so..... had to go buy a new one. It was about 5-6 years old anyway, so time to replace it. Was really hoping it would hav elasted till later this fall when the Christmas sales are out, but nope. But I did get my grocery shoppin done and the fridge and freezer are restoced for a while now. Also got my grass cut too. Yesterday was mass in the morning and then I puttered around here making soup and putting the meat I bought into the freezer. Went back to church later in afternoon for a special Vespers ceramony honoring about 5 priest in our Diocese who were named Msgrs. by the Pope. Two of them were former Pastors of our church and one used to come have coffee and donuts with my mother, myself and some other ladies on Sunday mornings after mass. We all enjoyed that time with the "Coffee Klatch". So it was nice to see him again and visit for a short bit. He's retired due to health issues and is now living in the Miami, FL. area.

So now i am dressed and ready to head for work. That dreaded four letter word as Birdie calls it. Don't know what we will get into today as the weather will not be condusive to outdoor work. High winds expected and everythings wet, so no blowing. Maybe picking up limbs etc., if it doesn't rain. That we can do, wind or not. It's not that cold out right now. Shall see what happens. There's some insides work needing done and also supply inventory as well.

Sarah, you sound like it's time to get in Magic and just go somewhere even if it's just up the road a piece and go camp someplace.

Time to be off, so will wish all of you a wonderful day. If you are traveling, please keep safe and if you are in the path of the storm front, keep a watchful eye out.

Good morning Birdie, Barbie, Sue & everyone that checks in!

Kathleen, it was so good seeing you here yesterday! Be careful as you prepare for your trip north.

The weather in MD is warming up into the 80's today, so I plan on working in the gazebo vacuuming & dusting. My Buick is covered in dust so that will get washed as well. Wednesday we will be back in the 60's but we have plenty of wood to crank up the woodstove. Right now it looks like we have much needed rain coming into the area this coming Saturday. The entire state has been under a burn ban for well over a week, so I hope that will be lifted after the rain.

For those on the road, keep a close eye on the weather and everyone else, have fun!

GOOD MORNING ALL!

The day dawned sunny, cool in the 70s, breezy, and perfect for me. It will warm up to the mid 80s this afternoon when I will head to the pool to spend my last few days for another 6 months in the sun and water. I guess I will pull out of St. Cloud on this coming Sunday, if all looks well in the weather front.

Am hoping my dog zapper collars arrive before I leave, and one more oil company check to help with the cost of gas on the way home.

I hope all is well wherever you are and whatever you are doing. Kath, have a calm last day in FL and may you have a safe and good trip back home to your family. It was nice hearing from you yesterday morning in the coffee room!

Good Morning! I’m enjoying a three day weekend. The extremely mild winter left me with an abundance of annual leave since I never had to use any days for inclement weather. We can only accumulate up to 240 and then we have to use it or lose it without compensation. I would have had 245 hours by the end of this pp so I decided it was time to stay away for a day, but I’ll be maxed out again next pp. It’s going to be rough to getting away for the next two months and we’re extremely busy so I can’t close down for a day. My fill-in supervisor is having hip replacement surgery this Friday and won’t be able to help me out until mid July. He used to be an officer and has been filling in for me for a couple of years. He knows the operation of the shop and can do a lot of the trouble shooting without me getting constant phone calls and also knows which inmates he can trust when it comes to asking a question about a shop problem and getting an honest answer. Three of the part-time officers have offered their services so they can supplement their income a little. Two of them would be really good…not so sure about the third, he’s one of those officers who should never have been given any position of authority because he is an absolute jerk.

Friday night after work I drove to Mitchell and stayed with my friend Missy at her greenhouse. Saturday I played in the dirt all day! DH just doesn’t understand why I use a weekend day to go work somewhere else for free! It is totally relaxing for me to stay in the planting area and design the high end planters…not to mention having every plant available at my finger tips.

Not sure what I’m going to do today, but it certainly won’t be too strenuous! After being in the greenhouse on Saturday I had given serious though to getting out and cleaning out my flower beds and trimming some bushes, but it’s cold and very windy today…so that’s out.

Have a great day.
My mind works like lightning...one brilliant flash and it's gone.

GOOD MORNING SISTAHS!!!

Have had one cup of coffee and working on a second one. Ahhhhhh! :D For the past 2 nights things have been a little slower at work and I have loved it! What a relief it's been. The whole town over the weekend was nothing but one huge "Hotrod" show so people were staying in town looking at all the cars, trucks, motorcycles and even jazzed up golf carts.

We have a new guy at work who is gonna be working as a dishwasher too. It makes it soooooo much better having 3 of us on the dish line during the afternoon. Whoever comes in at 11 or noon leaves at 6 or so and that covers a big chunk of the main daily rush. The last 1 1/2hrs of work is still kind of a killer tho when things start shutting down and they are closing the buffet. We get any dishes from the last die hards and of course all the pans from the buffet. And guess who has to sort, stack and run around to put it all away??? Whew!!!

OK, got to get going. Need to take my pills, put ribs in the crockpot and have "chores" to do in my game on Facebook. Have given up on Farmville but am playing one called Castleville. Also need to check my email. Going to Johnson City tomorrow afternoon and staying the night with David. He's gonna work on the truck as it has been running like crap. So good to have a son who is a mechanic.

Hope everyone one has a great day and please be careful and safe.

Love to all

Morning! It was rockin and rollin about 4 this morning, but relatively little rain. I just wish the big show could have been a little less noisy as I was trying to sleep.. :x :x :x especially since I didn't get to bed until 12:30.

This class is now officially half over, then one more - yay!!!

I'm listening to a teleconference call while I type. I love when I can multi-task :D :D :D

I want to go camping. But time is short right now. Maybe the end of the month. Wonder if I could find something open for Mother's Day weekend? I originally thought about flying in to Atlanta to see my mom but I don't know if that will work or not. I may still do that. Won't get me on the road, but will get me out of the house!!!

I just wanted to stop by and say Hello to everyone. I haven't been here for awhile. Seems when the weather turned warm we are on the go go go and busy busy busy....
I can't remember if I told ya all that we cancelled our trip to AR. Too much drama and not enough $$$. If it had not been for all the drama we still would have tried to go. Oh well...
I hope all is well with everyone and you all are enjoying the spring time..
Happy travels..... J.

Hope is packed and ready to go...I have an appt at the cardiologists at 1045 and as soon as I'm out of there calling Evie (Pooker) to hit the road! Finally getting out of here in Hope for a jaunt to Why, Az to GTG with Beth for a few days. Just wish there was rv parking near the Drs office and could leave from there instead of having to come all the way home to get the rig. Not taking the car so that saves me some time.

Gotta run and shower and a few last minute things, so hope everyone has a great day!
