Good Morning Birdie, Barbie and all,
Sounds like everybody had a good weekend for the most part. Nancy, thanks for sendng the rain here, we certainly have had some and now things are wet and that will help keep the fire danger down. It has been very high here and this past weekend, some people who were apparently camping on private property had their campfire get away from them. it burned 55 acres including their truck, trailer and equipment and threatened some nearby homes as well. Good thing there wasn't much wind.
Hope none of our "sisters" were in the mess of tornados that are ripping across the mid section of the country. This same weather front is now affecting Michigan, but all it did up here was give us heavy rain. Supposed to be very windy and getting colder as the day progresses, with snow showers late today and tonight again. I do know that Linda is somewhere in that though, as she has been experienceing high winds. Linda, hope your awning stays put. Put some straps around your support arms on the RV as well, that will keep them from vibrating and loosening up your awning too. Drive carefully all thouse who are venturing out. I know Kathleen is supposed to start for home tomorrow, so hopefully the weather front will have moved out of her way. By the way, it was so nice seeing you post to Morning coffee again.
My weekend was busy, but I did have some time to relax as well. Only thing was, my vacum died about half way through my moring vacuming, so..... had to go buy a new one. It was about 5-6 years old anyway, so time to replace it. Was really hoping it would hav elasted till later this fall when the Christmas sales are out, but nope. But I did get my grocery shoppin done and the fridge and freezer are restoced for a while now. Also got my grass cut too. Yesterday was mass in the morning and then I puttered around here making soup and putting the meat I bought into the freezer. Went back to church later in afternoon for a special Vespers ceramony honoring about 5 priest in our Diocese who were named Msgrs. by the Pope. Two of them were former Pastors of our church and one used to come have coffee and donuts with my mother, myself and some other ladies on Sunday mornings after mass. We all enjoyed that time with the "Coffee Klatch". So it was nice to see him again and visit for a short bit. He's retired due to health issues and is now living in the Miami, FL. area.
So now i am dressed and ready to head for work. That dreaded four letter word as Birdie calls it. Don't know what we will get into today as the weather will not be condusive to outdoor work. High winds expected and everythings wet, so no blowing. Maybe picking up limbs etc., if it doesn't rain. That we can do, wind or not. It's not that cold out right now. Shall see what happens. There's some insides work needing done and also supply inventory as well.
Sarah, you sound like it's time to get in Magic and just go somewhere even if it's just up the road a piece and go camp someplace.
Time to be off, so will wish all of you a wonderful day. If you are traveling, please keep safe and if you are in the path of the storm front, keep a watchful eye out.
