Very little improvement. The vibrating collar worked great at first for the barking. Either the battery is dead already, or he's figured out it doesn't hurt that bad, because he's barking again when I leave. We're still working on it.

I think I already said something, but my friend, Joe, uses the citronella one and it works for his dogs. I have the one that makes a high pitched noise when they bark, but it makes the sound even when they shake, so they get used to it.

Ok, new battery in the vibrating collar didn't help. Didn't hurt enough I guess. So skipped the Citronella and went right to the last resort....another $100...the shock collar. He wore it today when I went to Mexico. 2 barks and then silence. He was still quiet when I got back, and no nasty notes on my door. He was happy to see me, and peed like a racehorse. Sure hope this one will have a lasting effect, 'cause like I said, it's the last resort.

Simba is such a good dog, less the barking. Peaches and I are hoping that this works - sounds good so far. Fingers and toes crossed - and every kind of good thought going your way.

The S collars worked with Blondie when she had issues......they never did much for Stuart. Luckily neither bark when left in their kennels all that much...but they did at other times in the past. And Stuart is still no fun at a dog park.

Please PLEASE please work shock collar! You shouldn't need to use it unless you are leaving him alone, yes? So, eventually, When you buckle it on, he might associate it with his being noisy when left alone, and that behavior might stop! Molly and Dinah are plugging for him!

So far so good. He wore it twice today when I went to the office this morning and when I went to the shower this afternoon. Not a peep.

Keep us updated, but it sounds like the shock collar was the solution! I think Brutus is getting better, too. He cried and barked terribly when I first got him and left for work, etc. I decided to leave him out of the kennel with Rags to see if that helped and I think it has. He does bark when they notice me arrive home, but I think they are mostly quiet. The neighbors said they don't notice the barking like they did. I'm still considering trying the citronella collar on Rags so he doesn't bark and carry on so much when I walk in the door. It is teaching Brutus to do the same. Very chaotic when I would prefer calm happiness
