FRIDAY FRIDAY FRIDAY!!!!

Postby Nasoosie » Fri Nov 21, 2008 5:10 am

Good Morning, y'all. Hope the end of this work week finds everybody healthy and happy in whatever part of the world you may be in. It's +12F. here this mroning, so not too bad....light snow coming down.

Coffee this morning is Hazlenut Creme once again! Goodies are somewhere in Barbzee's cupboards, as I can't bear to look at food at this hour! Hope the next person to come in will find them and set them out for the rest of you!

Tidbit of the day, according to the NY Times, is:
On Nov. 21, 1964, New York's Verrazano Narrows Bridge opened.

Lots to do here...gotta get busy. Have a great day, you all!

Good morning ya'll. Can't go the hazlenut coffee but I got some reg classic roast. I snooped around in Barbzeee's kitchen and found a big pan of home-made pecan rolls in the oven!!! I'm starving---can you tell?!! LOL Just had a Sonic cheeseburger for dinner last night. That is what Bash wanted and I had to run to town to pick up meds. I was asleep in the recliner by 7:30 and she woke me up at 10 to go to bed. No wonder I am up early.. These pecan rolls are delicious!!! Have one!

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm .... Fernie my dear you can snoop around anytime if you find pecan rolls! ohboy, ohboy! I do love pecans. When I lived in Mobile, AL for a winter three years ago I had three beautiful pecan trees in my front yard. Out in the suburbs/rural area where I was there were a lot of old pecan orchards that were now housing lots.

Nothing new here,... I'll be having supper with my friend Kathy tonight and then we'll go to school for the senior class play. They are doing "Young Frankenstein".. should be fun. this is a small school district averaging about 22-28 kids in each class. Everyone knows everyone,... for several generations usually. I have quite a few of the senior class in my study halls and they frequent the high school computer lab working on their papers and web design and college prep courses. It will be great to see them in their play.

OK,..gotta read the rest of the board and get rollin' down the road!

Morning....Morning...All!!

I'm feeling alot better today....Lots of sleep and TLC from Ernie did wonders..... ;)

Glad you got the "Regular Coffee" going....Have to have that caffeine to get going....and Oh, Fernie, you found the pecan rolls Barbzeee left....they are so good!!! Happy to hear that Bash is home and on the mend....

The wind started up again last night around 10pm local and is still blowing....strong enough to to turn the satellite dish....so no morning news until Ernie gets out of bed and we fiddle with it....Ah, thank goodness for the air card and the laptop......

Okay, since I was out of commission yesterday, am going to go read what you all have been up to.

Have a great day, all....

Goooood Morning Sistahs!

SNOW!! Good grief there's a little over a 1/2" of snow on my back porch this morning, thermometer says it's 22 degrees and the wind is blowing!!! Brrrrrrrrrrrr Wouldn't be so bad out there if it wasn't for the wind! Now I know that 1/2 and inch of snow is nothing especially to Yankees, myself included, but the people down here have no freaking idea what to do in the snow. I can just bet that half the people wont show up for work this morning. Son's GF Jenny just left for work and she's not a happy camper. She hates trying to drive in the snow. Asked her last night if she had to work today cause I knew that there was a chance of snow? But she said she was on call and that she doubted very much if she would get called in as they had enough people scheduled and that there were three other aides to call before they got to her. Well??? Off she went. I'll have to go out a few minutes early to fire up the Blazer and clean it off.

Yum, Pecan Rolls. I better get a couple before Beth gets in here! I'm gonna pop mine in the micro for just a few seconds to warm them up a little. Ohhhhhh, heavenly, warm yummy pecan rolls. mmmMMMMmmm

I am so totally looking forward to Sunday!!!! It's our only day off this week. Suppose to get both Saturday and Sunday off but it's not happening with all the overtime. Got to do 8hrs on our weekend off and this coming Friday which is suppose to be a day off we will have to do 4hrs. ? Unless of course they change it and require 8hrs? grrrrrrr If they do, then hopefully we will get a weekend day off. We hope! We were checking out our timecards online last eve when we clocked out and right at the moment I have 103hrs in. By time the work week is done for us on Saturday I will have 40hrs of overtime in. No wonder I'm tired.

Ok, think I will pour another cup of coffee, take the dogs out once more then get my butt dressed for work. Better go shag Kelly out of bed, her alarm has went off twice so far. ;) Me thinks she might have stayed up a little late again! She'll probably be a bear!! :x

Hope everyone has a super duper day and be sure to stay safe.

Love to all

ps. Barbz we sure do miss ya bunches

It's 40 and sunny in Oregon today.
I'm not sure what I'll do today - after reading Echo's post I'm going back to bed !! Just reading about her life makes me tired !!!
I'm having Diet Pepsi for my caffine fix. A pecan roll sounds awesome !
Hope you all enjoy your day !

You're safe, Echo - as I'm not big on pecan rolls. What? Yes, there are some sweets I can turn down. But not being big on them, does not mean that if they were in front of me I wouldn't eat part of one :)

My housekeeping partner is home sick today. She tried to work, and I'm hoping for the couple hours she was with me I didn't catch what she has. Yuck. But it's a light day in housekeeping - so shouldn't be a problem. And I recruited her husband and another to help me get the rec hall cleaned at noon. (It's fun to recruit LOL)

OK, I want to try to read a few other posts on my break so won't write a book like last night.

Have a great day all.
