What a cutie!! They say that Poms get very attached to just one member of the family - guess you chose just right.

Hi, Simba....Spinner here, again....My Daddy-dog says you got "smart eyes" so you got his approval for Liz...(I already knew you were smart...you won Liz over.... ;) I like her cause she has good treats to share..) Glad all went well at the "Doggy-Dr, and the groomer's....Lucky you....I'm on a diet cause they say I'm 5 pounds over weight...so my hoomans have limited my treats and food...but they both sneak every once in awhile something extra... ;)

Again, welcome....

Sinba, Peaches here again. I know your Mom must already love you lots, cuz she's got these pics of you everywhere. I can't keep track of where I talked to you last. I just know I'll love avoiding you. Maybe with you I'll even want to play. Do you like to play just run around? That's my favorite. Oh, and I just like to walk and splash in the water. Wait until you meet Stuart. OMGosh, that little guy really swims. My mom says I was supposed to take lessons, but I just watched.

Hope to see you soon. I sure wish my Mom wanted me to gain wait. Then I'd get some extra treats. I never eat extra food, she can leave that out all the time. But treats, more of those would be fantastic.

We're late welcoming you to your new family Simba. You certainly are adorable. You'll have your little black book full in no time with all the "girls" on this forum. They can get downright pushy too. It appears that you are already fitting in quite well to your new lifestyle. Welcome again.

Dear Simba,

It's me, Abby. You are very, very handsome. And lucky, too, to have the Mom that you do. Maybe someday we could be friends - I won't sniff your butt if you won't sniff mine, okay? You are going to have one great life!

Love,
Abby

Liz, so how is Simba adjusting so far? Are you two bonding well? Is he behaving good? What is his personality like? Does he sleep with you?

Simba is doing great. He has bonded to me like glue, so we are going to have to work through a little separation anxiety (barking) when I leave him in the Rv. But he minds well otherwise and is really anxious to please. So far he is friendly to all, but does let me know if someone is outside the RV. He sleeps on his own bed on the floor beside me like Roe did. My bed is Bandit's domain, and he seems to understand that. He loves his walks, likes to play fetch. He tolerates his daily brushing well, but would probably prefer if I forgot. So far I haven't.

Oh, Simba looks SO pretty after his salon treatment. But then, don't we all ???

He's gonna have the best doggie life with you. Heck, the folks at the shelter probably wanted you to adopt THEM.

Congrats on your new hiking buddy. And I hate to break it to you, little dogs make you walk faster than the big ones. Those widdle legs just go like crazy!

Sorry it has taken me so long to welcome Simba, your sweet new baby. She is beautiful. Guess you will have lots of opportunities to bond while brushing her silky fur. Cute name.

Finally had a chance to browse around the forum and happened upon this thread. Congratulations, Liz, on your new baby! Simba is sure a cutie pie ;) Sounds like he is adjusting well. I guess maybe I didn't know about Roe  Sorry! I have been thinking lately about getting a buddy for Rags, too. We will see. I'm kind of kicking myself for missing out on a cute little stray Chihuaha here in the park. The guy that took him in was looking for a home for him, but they got attached to him and decided to keep him. As for the barking...My friends, Joe and Cleone, bought a citronella collar for their little ones and they work great! I may borrow one to see if I like it. I'm trying to break Rags of barking at me when I come home. It's very annoying! I have been putting him on the leash as soon as I walk in the door and have to keep tugging it to keep him down and quiet. I know he misses me, but geez!
