I was really shocked when I found out that the Amish run puppy mills. I learned this from a rescue shelter person and then confirmed it on Google.

Yes. Out here in the mid-west it is not such a secret. PA and OH are known sources. From what I have read the Amish consider the dogs "livestock" not companion animals or pets. They are after the most profit with little investment of $$$. But are their cattle and hogs cared for in the same fashion?

I posted my feelings on the singles forum - about anyone having Puppy Mills - it's the same reason - greed - Amish or not. And it's disgusting. That said, you can't dislike all the people for what a few do.
