Monday, Monday!

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Monday, Monday!

Wasn't it the "Mamas and the Papas" that sang that song years ago?

Hey there Barbzeee,.... I'm here in your kitchen puttering around,.. putting out the coffee mugs and got the coffee going. I brought apple cider donuts,... some sugared, some plain. Come on in, everyone!

So rise and shine, you snoozing sisters,..... !

Gooood Morning!!!

Ohhh, I don't wanna!!! All I want to do is go back to bed and of course SLEEP. Dang I'm tired, did not enjoy hearing that alarm go off this morning. grrrrrr I think every bone and muscle in my body aches this morning. I almost wish I was sick so I could call out of work with out feeling guilty.... But of course I will swill some more coffee, take a shower, get dressed and head to work. ~sigh~

House is clean enough to be healthy but still messy enough to be happy. Got all my laundry done, took some recyclables over to the city dumpsters, cooked yummy supper and then ran out of steam. That did it. Good yummy supper to fill my oinky belly and I'm done for. HA Had baked boneless pork chops with stuffing, mashed taters and hominy. Yum, yum!! By time I was done there was no way I could eat dessert of ice cream. So that's gonna have to wait until tonight.

Got my mug raised in salute to all my sistahs!!! Have at it gals, daylights waiting. ;) Time to grab a shower and get dressed. Maybe it'll wake me up and my motor will be fired up and ready to go?

Hope everyone has a great day and be sure to stay safe.

Love to all

ps. almost forgot!! may i have a donut please? :D

GOOD MORNING, you all!

I awoke at dawn to snow and 32 degree temp outside. It's very pretty out there, with light snow falling, about an inch and a half on the ground, and I am toasty warm in here with my wood fire crackling away. (Although I will need to go out there later and bring in more wood!) Perhaps I can even ski a bit later on this afternoon, if the snow keeps on falling!

Interesting news this morning about statin drugs, initially used to regulate cholesterol levels in those of us with high levels, possibly preventing heart disease and strokes in other ways. I guess I am thankful I have been on statins for a long time now, and that I have not suffered any of the possible dangerous side-effects from them.

Thanks for the coffee, Cedar, and for the doughnuts which I am going to pass up....I really do not like doughnuts...can you believe that? NOW....if you had pistaccio-flavored muffins here, THAT'S a whole different story! Sometimes, when Price Chopper has those next to me in the checkout line where I am held captive for long enough to give in, I throw a couple of packs of those into my cart! I cannot stop eating them until the last crumb has been savored! Sigh....my mouth is drooling now, just dreaming of them! Perhaps I will visit Price Chopper later today and see if this the day for the pistaccio muffins! Let's see now......shop for muffins, or ski??? Perhaps I can do BOTH!

Hope you all have a great day....I intend to enjoy the freedom of no school today or tomorrow! YIPPEE!!!!

Morning, all.....
The wind is still blowing here, but not as bad as yesterday and last night....We got rain sometime during the night, but the sun is out now.....the 4 of us went to the club for finger food, beer for the guys, and sodas for us gals....finished watching the race there....when we got back to the 5er, there was a request to IM with the webcam with the kids and grandkids....what fun....and the grandkids loved making faces to Papa and Grammy.... Not much planned for today that I know of....just hanging out and enjoying retirement....What a life!! ;)

Have a great day, all....

Morning all. I'm back at work with sore muscles from all the leaves I tried to tame yesterday. I ended up having to go buy a new leaf blower/vacuum...the old one officially gave up the ghost. So, I'm praying the wind doesn't pick up any time soon as I have a mound of leaves in my back yard that is about 10 feet wide by 25 feet deep by 3 feet high. I ran out of daylight.

Thanks for the cider donuts! Yum. Don't believe I've ever had a pistachio muffin, but that sounds wonderful too! I was good this morning, had my bowl of honey nut cheerios.

Maybe my motorhome will be finished at Freightliner today? It's been over a week. I had to call them Friday and the service guy was out sick. Of course, he was supposed to have called me Tuesday morning between 9 and 11. Those were his words, not mine. Never called. Not that I'm anxious to drive to south Baltimore to pick it up and drive it home, but I do need to get it winterized!

News on my buddy, Jim, is that he had a good weekend and is still progressing. It has taken him soooo long to bounce back, and I'm sure a lot of that has to do with his age and habits. I'll just be so glad to have him back to 100%. It has been a scary time.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

Good Monday morning! It's cloudy and windy here in my part of Texas. But looks like most of the real rain will be north of me. I'm skipping the coffee and muffins, and while skiing sounds great I will have to settle for a walk around Ladybird Lake.
Not complaining though, the sky is beautiful with clouds and sun trying to break through here and there. Have a fun day!

I've got my coffee with just a little International French Vanilla creamer in it. I can use anything but Bash prefers that so I use a little too since it is already out. Donuts sounds so good. It is down around freezing and the warm donuts reminds me of when we were kids and Mom used to make home-made donuts. She made both yeast donuts and cake donuts. We loved them while they were still warm.

Got any chocolate covered creme filled? I woke up this morning to brilliant sunshine. Took the Boggs out with just my jogging suit on. Yesterday I had on a sweatsuit, coat with a hood, under the hood a wooly hat and a big scarf wrapped round all that.

Good morning from Oregon !
Not surprisingly it's raining this morning :D I read on the weather.com that there are suppose to be big wind/rain storms coming in so that'll be interesting. I'll have to go down to the beach and watch the surf - it's just amazing to see when there are big storms out to sea. The beach is wide enough that I can be a safe distance from the water so I won't be swept out to sea !!
I'd love a donut ! That sounds so good :D I love the raised glazed ones or just a good old sugar donut - yummmmmm !!!
I hope you all enjoy your day.

I got burnt out on donuts in college. We couldn't leave the dorm after 10:00 on week nights and the donut shop was the only place that delivered so you know that was a long time ago.

It was cool and windy this morning but warming up. I had a box on the back porch to bring to the trash but the wind blew it off and now there are white peanuts all over the yard. We are suppose to get some much needed rain tonight or tomorrow.

I need to get one of my cats a watch. She woke me up at 6:00 by bitting my toes. The others will just sit and stare at me but she wants breakfast now. Need to get moving and go check a tire on my RV. I checked them yesterday and one tire was down to 40 so must have a slow leak. I hate to have to go to the tire place, seems they hate to work on dual wheels.

Good Morning Good Morning,
Monday Monday....yep loved that song by the Mamas and Papas!! Well Bob & Dan went over to the Golden Corral Restaurant so Dan could see some Alfa people. I said I was sleeping in! lol :P . Me & Gill are not early risers lol. We are so glad they are here, yesterday was a doozy though the winds were blowing hard and dust flying everywhere!

Today is back to the calm sunny skies and no wind at all. I'll have my lemon biscotti this morning. Nonni's have the new Lemon ones and Almond Toffee...YUM!! Later when the guys get back we'll have to drive them around the neighborhood and show them the Foothills. We'll see if they want to go out to the Yuma Territorial prison ( no longer in use) & Museum and maybe go to the Paradise casino, today is senior day and they give you $15 in play time on the slots. So we'll see what they want to do.

Oh Trudy, that was what I said when I was living on the beach and was told a big storm was coming in. Do you remember what happened to me? It's very time consuming picking seaweed out of your wheel wells. I swear I'm going to have, Well, THAT was interesting, carved on my tombstone.
