I couldn't get in here earlier....kept getting an error message of some sort. Now I have to run!

Glad to see I wasn't the only one getting the ERROR message.....Whew.....tried for a straight half hour...then gave up...but here we are again.....

We're back on the road today.....heading for Corpus Christi NAS.....I was up early to get my "morning allowance of COFFEE".... Ernie likes to be on the road early.....so we're hoping to hit the road around 7:30-8AM.....gave many hugs to the "sisters" here last evening....sure will miss them, but we'll get together again soon....hope more of you can join us.....

Okay, I got Barbzee's coffee pot going and am leaving orange/cinnamon rolls here on the table for you all.....

Goooood Morning!!!

I'm up and at 'em. Well? For the most part I am. Went to bed early last night. Been working 10hrs a day and I've been pooped. This weekend is suppose to be our "weekend off" but they have mandated that we have to work 8hrs of overtime this weekend. Hmmm? I am rebelling, I'm gonna work 4hrs for them tomorrow and that will be it for the weekend. They are also requiring that we put in at least 4hrs this coming Friday which is our usual day off. ? I can do that and then spend the of Friday running around getting the type of stuff done that ya just can't do on weekends. The stress and nerves up there is really bad this month already. We've had 3 fist fights and thought that there was gonna be another one yesterday. Jeeze! Everyone is would tighter than tight. It's interesting to say the least!!!

The weather has been really nice here during the day. Mornings it's down right cool on the backporch but by first break of the day it has warmed quite a bit. Weather man says that we're done with the warm daily temps tho. Suppose to be having a cold front coming thru this weekend. Hmmm? Wonder how cold it will get? Bet'cha we don't post snowy pictures like Sparkle did!!!

Ok, Kelly just hit the shower so that's my signal that it's time for me to get up, get my lazy butt out of the chair and get it dressed. Ya know? Work should be illegal. We should be able to plant seeds and grow money. HA Just imagine those farms!!!

Good Morning All - Been rereading my Sue Grafton books and stayed up till the wee hours finishing one last nite - just wasn't sleepy so made up for it this a.m. Yesterday we had a little rain, just enough to disrupt the satellite reception for the internet - drives me crazy.Half way through doing something - boop - it gone!
We were supposed to be heading towards the west today but will end up not leaving here until sometime next week. Just need to transfer the food from the house to the Alfa. So now we are just kind of sitting around looking at each other as the rest of the stuff we need to do can't be done till the day before we leave.
Supposed to get cold starting tonight with snow flurries possible - thats what we wanted to miss oh well - the best laid plans.
Echo - how can you remain so upbeat when you have to go into the job ......don't let it give you ulsers.

Good morning everyone. You must have eaten all of Lori's orange cinnamon rolls, 'cause as I was heading out my door to go get one, she and Ernie were pulling out! Goodbye folks, we'll miss you, but pray you'll have safe travels to CC. Now I see there's a Hurricane heading for Cuba. Doesn't look to be coming to TX, but keep a watch on it just in case.

It's a chilly 39 degrees here in Kerrville, but expected to warm to the mid-70s today. Four of our group (Diana, Beth, Liz and Belle) plan a hike today on Enchanted Rock. Should be a beautiful day for that. Look for pictures this evening in the GTG thread.

Yep, Lori and Cedar left me emails while I slept. However it fixed itself before I got up. They may have been doing an update on the board we use for a forum - those usually get done overnight - but whatever the problem, it was on their end, and is fixed

Yep, chilly here this morning - during the night I turned on my furnace - was downright cold in here. The night before I slept with all my windows open - go figure. I've only taken Peaches on a short walk, so want to jump in the shower and get ready for the day - then walk her again before we head to Enchanted Rock.

I'm celebrating this morning! After working until 10:00 last night (we're only doing 5 hours/night this first week in preparation for 11 next week, I just now woke up and was looking for something to eat while reading the paper.

I applied for early Social Security benefits online two weeks ago and was assuming those benefits would be based on my ex-DH's earnings since we were married for 20 years. I just got a call from SS and was told that I was eligible for my first husband's share (he died in 1985 and would have been 66 tomorrow), and would receive my first check NEXT WEEK! With his military service, etc. my check will be so much I'm still having a problem believing it, with a 5.8% raise in January. Because ex-DH won’t even be 62 for 4 years, I would receive a whole lot less based on his earnings. Can you see me jumping up and down with excitement? And, I can still earn up to $14,000/year with no reduction in benefits.

I feel an enormous weight has all of a sudden been lifted. I have preached several times on living a life from a position of abundance rather than scarcity; it looks like I might now be able to actually put that into practice myself. Not sure I’ll know how to do that, but it sure feels good to have options again. And my first order of business was inviting my friend Lou to Tulsa for the weekend of my birthday. He's been so generous to me over the years it felt great to be able to return a little of that generosity. I hope he can make it.

Yaaaay!!!!!! I see health insurance and paying off accounts in the future.

WONDERFUL, Oregontocal! More SS is certainly BETTER SS! I am looking forward to seeing if half my estranged husband's SS will be more than mine when the time comes for him to start collecting! I am a few years older than he is, so will have to wait for a couple more years to find out. I guess he won't get any less if I claim half of his amount, if it turns out I would be getting more than what I am collecting now on mine. SS is a puzzle, for sure!

Glad to see many were able to get on here later after getting the ERROR message earlier.

Rain and possible snow headed our way for my 4-day weekend! Monday we are getting off as a freeby and Tuesday is Veteran's Day.

I will be sleeping in tomorrow, so hope someone else gets the coffee going!!
