Sashamio is a beautiful cat! How did you come up with his name?

When we caught Sashamio he was a ferral kitten born in one of our favorite campgrounds in Snoqualmie WA. At first I thought it was a SHE so I named it ...Sasha Mia...well Dan went off to do his fishing trip with his buddies and when he came back I told him I had bad news...he asked what it was and I said " Sasha grew BALLS!!"
So I had to change his name to Sasha MIO, half the time we just call him Sasha. We believe his mother was a tabby and his father was a Birman. His mother oddly enough had another kitten just like him but we could not trap that one. At one point I had 7 cats in the motorhome my four...because we just added Sashamio to Biff, Felix & Suzy. Then I trapped a bunch of more kittens and found homes for them and trained 3 more with us to be used to humans and took them to a shelter . I'll never do that again, they got sick in the shelter and died. They would have done better staying in the campground!
Everyone thinks Sasha is a girl tho because he is gorgeous!! :D

I brought Elvis the cat along with me this summer on our travels. He is an indoor/outdoor cat but I have to say he has adjusted quite well to being in the RV. He doesn't like when we are moving...hides under the sofa.

He's almost 15.

New Cat Run I made so the cats can be outside more. Fifty foot roll of plastic fencing and 10 stakes to hold it up from Lowe's Garden area

Yes we do...they look very much alike. Love the sign! Elvis isn't real sure about this traveling thing, but has behaved pretty well. He'd still really like to go out, but when I put his leash on him and invite him outside, he is very leary. He'll look, but won't go. Now I'm sure when we pull up at home in a few days, he'll head right out the door (and probably kiss the ground!!!!). So unlike the dog that just loves going for a walk no matter where it is.

Paulette, Elvis will adapt and if you start doing the leash training right away he should adapt. Moochy was scared on the first trip but got the idea where to sit out the ride after that. My cats only howl when they are in the Jeep heading to the Vets. I'd like to kennel Moochy and take her to my Moms so she can see her Mother ( Sadie) who is slowly moving into my Mom's house.

I have another sign that says " What part of MEOW don't you understand"

I got the " What part of MEOW Don't you understand" for people who do not respect to keep their dogs away from the cats. So far I have only had one guy that I reported to the rangers several years ago. Pretty much everyone is very courteous in campgrounds so I have not had to post it outside.

Jenny, how do you keep the cats from climbing, jumping over or crawling under the fence?

Here is a link to some portable outdoor cat enclosures. They are pretty pricey but maybe you could get some ideas on how to make one like them that would be more secure for your cats. I believe Liz has a tent type thing for her cat too.http://www.kittywalksystems.com/outdoor.asp
