Hey all, it's Saturday

Goooooood Morning!!!

Well I see that there aren't any up and at 'em early birds this morning. Bunch of lazy bums are probably all sleeping in cause ya got the day off from work. Not me! Yesterday was suppose to be my day off and ended up having to work cause it was the last day of the month. Now this weekend is my usual work weekend. I have to work today but tomorrow I actually get off. WooHoo Bummer tho? Kelly ended up getting both Saturday and Sunday off. ~sigh~ She gets to stay in bed and snore while all nice and cuddled up in her blankies. Almost had to work both days but one of the other guys took yesterday off and he's got today off. Sooooo that meant I could at least get Sunday. Gads I hate working up there on Sundays from noon to 9pm. I just don't understand it?? Why do people get so evil when you call them to get payments on past due credit cards on Sunday, is simply beyond me!!!! With it being the first of the month and running old collection files they are running a skeleton crew for the weekend. Hmmmm? I would have thought I was to dang chunky to be considered anything that would resemble a skeleton! 8-)

Hope ya all have a super fantastic great day off today. Be safe and think of me slaving over those hot phones! hehehe

Love to all

Hiya Echo and Good Morning! I finally dragged out and it's 7:30,... shame on me,... usually I'm at work about this time. But I watched the morning news laying in bed,... such luxury!

Today I take my granddaughter (9th grade) to shop for new basketball shoes,... and we'll have lunch out too. I'm really looking forward to the day with her. But first she has basketball practice and I have to go to post office, bank and then make a run to the dump with garbage. How exciting, eh?

Have a wonderful Saturday everyone!

GOOD MORNING EVERYBODY!! You are SO right! I slept in until 8:00 this morning, watching the news and having coffee in bed! My bed for the winter is here in the living room on the sofa-sleeper topped with 4 inches of memory foam! This way I can tend to the fire when I wake in the night or get up to go to the bathroom. I am trying to burn just my woodstove and leave the Monitor kerosene heater set on 60. So far, so good, although I didn't get up in time to save last night's fire and it's down to 64 in here now---usually about 70 to 72. Sun should be shining in today through my southern-facing living room wall covered with glass, so may not need any heat other than solar.

Wlcome to November....where in heck did October go?? It's warm this morning....32F. already. Most of the snow slid off the metal roofs yesterday in the sunshine, although we have about 6 inches of it left on the ground. I think this is the day we are supposed to set the clocks back, yes? It will be lighter in the mornings after this, and for that I will be very glad. I hate getting up in the pitch dark and driving to work in the middle of the darkness.

My plans for today are to go to Plattsburgh, about 40 miles from here, and check out the new Target store that recently opened there. Now that the kids are gone, I have no need to make a dump run today. I can usually get by with one dump trip per month, including recyclables.

I hope to take a first cross-country ski run this morning before it gets any warmer, with Molly hitched to my waist! We shall see! I may have to walk the trails with a saw first to see how many trees came down in the storm.

Later I will experiment with getting my pictures to load in here without scroll bars, following Bether's helpful info on how to do it.

Have a great day, y'all!

Happy travels!

well good morning ladies, well I tried to sleep in but the dogs just wouldn't let me, they kept shaking their ears open and bouncing on the bed until I decided to move and when that gracious little Gracie princess, (actually
the devil in disguise) decides to bounce on my face, there is just no more
ignoring them.
Coffee is might good right now and I'll have a banana to get me started
for breakfast.
Plans for today..........hmmm, lets see, go pay some bills of course, grocery
store, gotta get a chicken for the pressure cooker and make dogfood now
that I have propane, can also pull that steak out of the freezer and
cook it for the weeks meals. Bought it on a managers special one day, cost
me $3, haha, what a bargain! And, to make it even better, its ANGUS!! yum.
Its way too big for me to eat by myself so thought I'd cut it up into chunks
for the shisk kabob sticks.
Gotta pull the washer out of the corner and do the laundry of course. I'm
just lovin that little wash machine! I really hate going to the laundry mat.
Right now its 65 so its kinda cool for us, long pants day but its gonna be
90 sometime today. There are so many things I should do, could do, but
not gonna do, otherwise there would be no time for fun and I certainly
have to make time for fun even if thats something as simple as walking the
dogs or watching a movie.
Ok, I've done enough flappin my jaw, (or bending my fingers on the keyboard)
time to get dressed and get crackin!
Have a safe day in whatever you do.
Somewhere with Ava and Maggie

Good Morning! Coffee tastes better sitting in front of the computer with all of you...rather than in the car on the way to work! Cedar and Nasoosie...you're existence in NY sounds so similar to that of SD! ;) Luckily we do have garbage service now so I don't have to make the dreaded trip to the dump. But still have to haul recyclables to the county truck that comes to town one Saturday a month. I seriously try to do my best with recycling. When I was teaching one of my students presented a speech on recycling for FHA and had documented that the US throws away enough aluminum cans in a year to completely rebuild every aircraft in the nation. That really opened my eyes. Right now the city has stock trailer behind the Legion Hall where we can deposit our cans and all proceeds go to help with the Boys and Girls Club expenses. Speaking of heat..I can turn on the furnace today! Said I wasn't going to until Nov. 1...we've been using the SunHeat (like Paul Harvy advertises) and it's been keeping the house cozy...but not sure if it could keep up when it gets really cold. Says it costs as much to run a day as a Mr. Coffee so we'll see when we get the electric bill. 35 this morning...suppose to get up to 65 so I plan to finish cleaning out the last two garden beds this afternoon, but have to pay bills, go to the grocery store, bank, and gas station this morning. Ya all have a good day...I'd better pour another cup of coffee and start writing checks!
My mind works like lightning...one brilliant flash and it's gone.
