Sunshine Tuesday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Sunshine Tuesday

Rise and shine everyone, the sun is shining. Well, here at least. Looks to be a beautiful day here in Northern Michigan.

Not sure what I am getting into today. In a way I would like to go visit a friend I haven't seen for a bit, but the "girls" look like they would like some quality "dog time" someplace too. Toss up here.

Had kind of thought about going camping these past couple of nights, but with the cold, decided not. Not in the mood for doing all the requiredd thing necessary to do it. And for some strange reason, I can't get in the mood for camping this summere. Don't know if it's high gas prices and other expenses that are keeping me from getting interested or perhaps that I am working my full shift the day before my days off and can't leave till late afternoon etc. That cuts down on how far I want to drive. With July coming on, the state parks are starting to get busier and some of my favorite sites are starting to book up.

Topic of conversation on the news this morning is all the cuts schools are making all over the state due to the cuts in state aid this year. Program cuts, teacher layoffs, reductions in staff etc. etc.... Needless to say, parents aren't happy. Gov. says it has to be done to help balance the state budget. There are cuts in a lot of other places too.not just the schools.

So guess I will go get washed up and wash my hair. Time to get my day rolling. Got a change in my work schedule this week and won't be going in until 11 a.m. these next couple of days. Working the afternoon shift. Co worker needs to do morning shift as she is trying to get ready for son's graduation party this coming weekend so would like the late afternoons free to get things done. No problem. I will go back to the morning shift on Friday. Have a wonderful day all.

Good morning Sue, and all! It's 6:20 here, the sun is just peaking over the hill and across to Table Mountain, very beautiful.

I've been home a week yesterday evening. It's been very busy. (Except for two days lost to a migraine.) We had a BIG party for my Sister's 60th birthday on Sunday. Mainly family, so it was more like a family union, with the birthday as the reason to get together. My little brother is liking telling us he is still in his fifties. :) I have a pic of us three. Will try to do photobucket as an experiment!

Yay! that is my first photobucket success with my new Airbook! So glad to finally get all the updates on both computer and iPhone so they will talk to each other. Now I have my own private 'hot spot'!

My other BIG project has been mowing (and raking). I try to do 2 - 3 hours a day. That's about all I can handle! A morning and evening shift. ;) A couple more good days and the heavy part will be finished. I can slow down with the detailing of the rest of the area. The grocery had beautiful RED geraniums this week. I couldn't resist a purchase of a gal size. All of mine got hit by a hard freeze. They had lasted for years. I miss them, though, so cheery!

Tomorrow I have a hike planned with a friend in the mountains. So looking forward to it!

Big shout out to the gals (and guys) at the East Coast GTG!!! looks like good times and yummy food!

Have a fun day everyone else out there! Tootles!

Nice picture Diana - thanks for sharing. I too like geraniums - mainly because they are the ONLY flower in my backyard that the bunnies haven't eaten. LOL

Not to gross anyone out this morning, but I'm sipping a freshly made combination of carrot, apple, celery, cucumber and beet greens juice. VERY nutritious and good-tasting, too.

I think I told you ladies I got interested in juicing again while I was on the island when I juiced veggies & fruit for a friend with cancer. Done it almost every day since I've been back. Juicing in the morning gives me a bump that lasts all day.

Time to put on my (padded, thank you!) biking shorts and hit the road again. I drove Emigration Canyon yesterday and it's only about four miles (within my daily range) with a gentle grade and ups and downs. I can do it -- so today I WILL.

good morning ladies, I did up a post earlier but of course even before I was finished firefox had to crash and
I just wasn't awake enough yet to do it over. So, the main points....youngest grandson is visiting for a few days
and I have 3 days off unless they call me of course. Plan to get my uniforms washed up today so I'm clean and
fresh for the next go around and also the sheets as Gracie got sick during the night with a little tummy sensitivity.
She's still not up to par but medicine is helping her tummy settle down. Have one more dose left so need to call
the vet and see about a refill. Grocery shopping is on the agenda as well, yogurt of course for Gracie and something
really good for dinner. Haven't decided yet....but something really good :D
Need to do some more work on my shelves and maybe get some pictures. Have built 4 units for myself so far and
son wanted one for his work space. His came out a little crooked on one corner, :( :o  will probably take
it partially apart and fix it when he's here to help. I didn't even notice until he pointed it out and now it shows
up like a sore thumb.
I hear the washing machine chiming so time to hang my blanket and toss in the sheets.
Enjoy your day.

We had some storms go through last night and the furbaby and our granddaughter were afraid. Needless to say we didn't get as much sleep as we wanted and gd and I slept in. I have both gd's today and husband is home playing Wii with the oldest. I am doing laundry, having coffee, catching up with games on fb and reading the forums. Hope everyone has a great day!
