battery disconnect

Okay. Road problem #1. Battery disconnect acting up. Hubby turned off now wont stay on. Thoughts?

My guess would be a fuse or a short in the wiring.

After some fiddling around we are thinking we need to replace battery. We'll do that today and see how it goes.

As they say...utopia is interrupted occasionally..but remember how things broke at home and business I'm about to take mine in for a general go over. I am concerned I might need a new generator..my fault, didn't start it all winter while sitting in the garage. One good thing is I have an extended warranty so hopefully some of the repairs will be covered. I want to feel I have bought myself as much worry free travel as possible but these are mechanical and technological machines and worth the trouble.

Was the battery charged when you put it back "on"? Of course, if totally drained, it might need a new one as you think - or might anyway. I've never disconnected mine - one advantage of being full-time. But I have replaced it more than once.

After purchasing my 2004 MH I had several issues. One being the AC. My X checked it out and several fuses were needing replaced.
Then I still had some issues with the thermostat. Ended up replacing that.
Then the steering/wandering issue! That took a large chunk of my "play" money, but I'm so glad Sharon kept on me to get it checked out by a mechanic that specializes in wheel alignments etc.
Then I kept having battery issues. I was having to take out the battery and put it on the charger. Finally decided that the batteries were old enough that replacing was the best route so I bought 2 new batteries (engine/house).
The old heavy TV almost slid out onto the floor one day. Found out it wasn't even affixed to anything! So I ended up buying a little flatscreen and having a guy remodel that area and put the TV at a downward angle so it's easier to see when lying on the sofa.
Then last month I brought it home as I was going to do a weekend trip. Started out with a flat tire and over 2 hrs at Les Schwab's. Then I drove off with my steps out and bent the snot out of them and now they don't fully retract.
So as I stand I've put around $5000 into my RV and have yet to do any big trips!!

That's why you have an rv, Lenora, so you can drive away from the cold and rain! Nice and warm down here....just sayin'.

By the time we are done fixing all the little things I bet it'll be about $2k. But we expected that. It's an adventure finding just what all those little things will be. That's why we chose denver for our first leg of this trip. Close to whatever we may need.
