Horse poop, clowns shoes, knitting ladies of Guadalajara

We are back in Mazatlan now for 5 or 6 days then will continue north. Updated my blog about the last day we spent in Guadalajara and some of the strange sights we saw. and interesting things we learned - think pig skins, mailmen, horse poop and clowns. Intriguing?

What a fantastic adventure! When is the book coming out???

Seriously, you should write an illustrated book about your travels in Mexico. Seems like you have enough pictures and your journal is pretty complete.

If you ever get back to Guadajara, you might want to look up an artist named Carlos Bustos in Tlaquapaqua. He is on Rio Independencia about four blocks from downtown and sells rough sculptures of children playing. I have one of kids climbing up a pinata.

I'm amazed at the sites and experiences you and the Driver find. And I second the book suggestion, as I've said before if anyone hasn't read the section of your blog about your experience Driving To South America in a Motorhome don't miss it, fabulous adventure!!

As usual, Carol, such a neat trip through the communities of Mexico! I'll bet it was not fun going back to get your winter clothes, however! Thank heavens he opened that bag before you got any farther down the road!

Thanks for the great travel log----as others have said, you could make some gas money by writing a book!

Happy travels!

If we'd have already left Guadalajara - my winter clothes would have wintered in Ajijic and Jeffs stuff would have spent more time in Indiana - such is life
Sheila - we are going back into US through Nogalas then probably taking the 10 or the 40 east. Our house sitter wants to get back into his own place and the Tax Man you know gets stinky after 4/15....... We'll be leaving Mazatlan to head further north on Saturday. Counting down to the final days of another winter in Mexico
