New FL GTG - Blue Cypress Lake

I found this boondock location and checked it out a couple weeks ago. Made plans to head here after the gtg and told others - so here we are - Me, Sarah, Tina and Liz. Soos hopes to come later in the week. I'm staying a week - others less time.

Great spot. SInce boondocking, I'll be updating my blog and doing pics later - most likely when I have hookups again. But maybe one day when the generator is running. I already took a bunch of pics. And am already making plans to come back. It's free boondocking - but you can only stay up to 7 days in a month. So, hmmm, I'm thinking the 1st week of March

Not sure if I'm up to boondocking but always wanted to give it a try. Are the spots big enough for my rig Beth? Its a long shot if I could make it anyway due to issues/home repairs/etc.. but does sound fun.

I'm looking forward to your blog post/pics. You always do such a great job with those.

Alice - this place is really meant for little rigs. Yours would fit if you got here first or second and could park lengthwise, taking up 3 or more places - so would be iffy whether you could. Nan, you could do it - but would want to me on the opposite end of where I am - and would still need a bit more angle Liz, Tina and I are perfect at our short 22' length - and Soos won't have any trouble with her smaller trailer.

Nan, if you want the directions, let me know and I'll email or pm them to you. I'm already planning to come back the first week in March. Only allowed one week per month, but I'm going to talk to them if I could cheat and come the last week of Feb - change some of my plans, so I'm not backtracking.

We kayaked this morning and might go back out this afternoon - wind came along and made the waves stronger, so we came in - will look for it to get calm again. But just sitting here - is so peaceful. I've taken a few hundred pics of birds, etc. Love it. Oh, and ospreys and their nests are all around

Wonderful photos, Liz...the lakes and canals are what I enjoy about Florida....they make my imagination run wild....as I have read alot about early Florida recently....thanks for the posting of them on you blog and sharing them with us....
