Amazon and the economic situation

Postby oregontocal » Thu Oct 09, 2008 12:13 pm

was wondering how the economic situation would affect Amazon and just received an email changing my start date from Oct. 19 to Nov. 2. I called them and was told they just don’t have the number of orders they expected. However, they’ll pay my campsite fees beginning Oct. 12. Whew! I was really concerned about being part way there and not having enough money to pay to stay somewhere until November. Geesh! Wish I’d known before I left, but I guess this is probably better as I definitely wouldn’t have enough to stay in San Diego.

So, maybe I’ll just take it a little slower, at least until the money runs out—that should be in a day or so <g> Not really. I did renew my Passport America membership, though. And am now on my way to check out Casa Grande Ruins.http://www.nps.gov/cagr/

Wow - that is scarey. I wouldn't think it would make a difference this early. Hope things pick up and they keep paying your space until they do.

Hi Chris, good luck with Amazon, sounds like it is working out for you day by day.
I'll be looking forward to your posts about Casa Grande ruins too. In the past year I have driven past the turn off on 10 twice and wanted to make a stop to investigate but didn't. That's the best thing about this forum, sharing all the fun places to visit!
