Spiced Hot Wine

Spiced Hot Wine

Spiced Hot Wine

6 C. red wine
3 apples, cut up
2 t. cinnamon
3 whole cloves
1/2 C. sugar
1 t. lemon juice

Combine. Bring to boil. Simmer 20 minutes. Set overnight. Strain.

Sounds yummy to me as long as the beginning red wine isn't too dry. Have had some that I would rather drink vinegar. :cry:

hey, I was all set to try this out until I got to the part that said "set overnight" huh?? but I
want it NOW! Its cold and I want something hot to drink. :lol: guess I'll have to remember
to buy some apple juice so I can fix myself a hot apple drink on these cold nights. I've
already finished off the hot cocoa.

You could always try it without letting it sit overnight and let us know about it. A good experiment, I would say.

Mad a non-alcoholic grog one Christmas - it was great on a cold night - which I still had that recipe. (Had to be non-alcholic as was making it for a group home - all high school age girls.).
