Welcome from Kerrville (I'm next to Sharon). Looking for pictures. Kudos to you for getting out and doing your thing even if hubby doesn't want to come along. We're going to boondock on the beach in Port Lavaca the first week in April. Hope you can make it. Its a shell beach and no tide so easy parking.

Welcome,

Glad you have joined us. You sound like a pretty seasonsed RVer and out enjoying the road. Got lots of neat trips planned tool.

You mentioned having to come to MIchigan for some family business. Whereabouts? I live in Michigan, up near Gaylord. You ever come up that way?

Enjoy your travels. Maybe we will meet on the road someday. I haven't ventured out of MI yet due to my summer job at a local state park here and winters of course are cold and snowy. Haven't had the desire to leave for an entire winter yet. :)

Sue
I was in Port Huron, MI. It's way too cold up there in the winter, maybe even the spring and fall. I wasn't hooked up with enough power for AC but even in July, I didn't need it. A fan worked fine and I even had to close the windows and put extra blankets on the bed a couple of nights. You should come down south to the sunshine in the winter.

LD - I have a friend in Port Huron. Small world. She keeps telling me to get there with the rv. Haven't been there to visit her since I've been doing this. Notice my map - MI isn't a state the rv and I have overnighted in. Been there many times, tho. I agree, nice - but having spent most of my life in IL/WI/MN/IA - MI is more of the same - and not someplace I want to winter anymore :)

Welcome Longdog! Glad to have another 'local' join in with the fun and frolicking of RVing. What part of SA are you located? I full-time and have my mail address in Schertz and just left Stone Creek and am currently at Potter's Creek at Canyon Lake. Perhaps we can get together for soup and samich near us, where ever that might be. The Forum will be a great spot. Maybe we can let the Holidays get by us first. If you are interested, there is a GTG in Florida the latter part of January and I'll be headed that way. And, of course the Port Lavaca spot will be up the early part of April. I am hoping that it will be warmer down there this year than last year.

Looking forward to meeting up with you.

I am embarrassed because I just read your last post a few minutes ago. I actually live in Schertz not San Antonio but usually say San Antonio because you have to know the area to know where Schertz is. I had some old friends who RV full-time visit me right before Thanksgiving and they were at Stone Creek. If you are going to be here for a while, perhaps we could meet shortly after the holidays. My son is getting married here on the 22d so right now is pretty hectic with Christmas and wedding prep.
