Hi Ladies, so nice to have found you

Come on in and say hello.

Hi Ladies, so nice to have found you

Postby CarmenD » Wed Nov 10, 2010 4:27 pm

Hi Ladies,
My name is Carmen and I'm so glad that I found the womanrv forum. It will be nice to discuss issue with only the ladies. We started traveling over a year ago after we finally decided to buy a Casita. We have a 17' Freedom Deluxe and fell in love with Casita about 15 years ago when a friend was traveling with one. We live in Real (pronounced Re-Al) County Texas, in the Hill Country. We are about 75 miles West of Kerrville. We are both retired and so far have enjoyed traveling Texas and seeing more of this huge State. We do have a pet, Chance is a 100# Blackmouth Cur, he stays at home, he's a rescue dog and is our guard dog. Chance is 4 years old and loves the wildlife but no so much people. He was neglected severely so his only trust is in his human mom (me) and dad (Kenny). As soon as I learn how to post pictures, I'll show you our rig, us and Chance.
I have been lurking in the shadows and catching up on the forums, so much good information. Have a great evening! :D

Howdy, Carmen, and welcome!
Glad you decided to join in this whacky sisterhood of RVing ladies. Goodness, if you've been lurking for a bit you must know there are some gals not far from you in Kerrville. We also get to hear how beautiful the Texas hill country is. I can't wait to have you learn to post pictures. WE LOVE PICTURES!
In the meantime I'll google to see what your rig looks like.
Don't be shy!

ON EDIT: The freedom deluxe is really nice!

Hi Carmen, welcome to the forum! I love the Hill Country, it's beautiful there. Can't wait to see your pics, once you do it a couple of times, it's easy.

Mitch, it's my understanding that a BMC is a particular breed, but then again, I've been wrong ....maybe once. 8-)

Welcome, so glad you found us too. Looking forward to pics and especially
pics of your cur. We love our critters here and pay no attention to Mitch
and Vicki, they do that all the time to each other  If they didn't we
would think somebody was seriously ill.

Welcome Carmen, I am so glad you decided to come out of lurking. I am one of the "Texas" ladies that frequent Kerrville. I also used to have a 2008 Casita Spirit Deluxe. I know you love your Egg as they are great for tripping around the country side. Your fur baby is described really well in the Wiki. He would take up a lot of space in the trailer. Your spot sounds like it is near Junction and South Llano SP a great place to go camping. I am in Arizona now, but will be back in Texas in about a week. Maybe we can have a lunch meeting on my way thru the country over there. If you are interested, hit the PM button over under the little bird and let me know. Maybe we can lure 'RetiredHappy', Karen to come out too. If we are lucky, Vicky, Yakn1, might be out there too.

Welcome aboard, we are glad to have you and look forward to meeting you somewhere on the road.

Hi and Welcome, Carmen. Glad you joined us. And keep your eye on the gtg room - there will be a TX GTG happening in the spring, for sure! And there's always some who can meet here and there in TX - it is popular for many of us.
