Good morning to you Zeee and everyone! It's a chilly one here in the Adirondacks. So,.... I fixed hot Cream of Wheat,... with brown sugar. Now I'm ready to get that mug of coffee.

The fall foliage isn't up to peak yet, so there will be lots of color left to see in the next two weeks. If anybody is within easy driving distance of here it would be worth it to see the mountains in their autumn beauty.

Gotta run ... work calls. At least I have fun on my job. Only one study hall so far this year is a challenge. Got a few smartie boys who haven't figured out that they can't fool the old gal! So off I go to work!

Have a great day friends!

Good Morning! I've been catching up on posts here & I've missed a lot. I'm looking forward to a day of whatever I want to do. :D The girls & I walked up to the Golf cart shop yesterday & rented one. We had a nice afternoon tour around the CG til the rain moved in. Today is supposed to rain too. It figures, when I spring for a golf cart, it rains & we're stuck inside. Doesn't matter, nothing is going to spoil my week. Except maybe these stinkin' little ants!! I have them in the RV. I've tried baits & sprays & they just keep coming. Anbody got any "ant terminating" advice?  Hope you ladies have a great day!!

Gooooood Mooooooring Sistahs!

Oh my goodness it was a chilly one this morn stepping out on my back porch taking Shade out. Brrrrr the thermometer read 54 or 56. Had my button up sweatshirt on but by the dang it was drafty up under my super sized nitie. Woooooweeeee LOL

This is our short week. Well not really I guess? We get Friday off but then we work Saturday thru Friday and have next weekend off. If they don't decide that we have to do mandatory overtime. I'm telling ya that place is something else. Kelly and I will be putting in a couple of more applications to places this Friday. Jobs are at a premium down here. So it might take some looking to find one we can live with and live on. My check stub for the weeks of 8/18 thru 8/31 says I worked 80hrs reg & 8hrs of sick time at $8 per, 14.18hrs of overtime at $12 per. I grossed $894 and after taxes and insurances netted $639 for the 2 weeks. Now we also get an extra $160 a month if we have perfect attendance, can't miss a day or be even a minute late. Especially with the supervisor I have. They call her Hitler Burchette. ~sigh~

Barbz, that sounded like a super lazy fantastic day that you and the critters had after ya got home. Everyone needs one of them once in awhile. They say "no rest for the wicked" so I guess ya will have to work on that wicked part of it. LOLOL  8-)

Well we are both showered and dressed, I've been swilling coffee since I first walked thru the kitchen on the way out the back door. So I need to fill my travel mug up, get my lunch out of the fridge and prepare myself to go out the door. Waaaaa! I don't wanna. LOL

Hope everyone has a great day today and stays safe.

Love to all

good morning
middle of the week, and this one is particularly nice as we have an early release
day. The kids get out at 11:30, take them home and I'm done for the day, woohoo!
I'll be on the freeway heading home by 12:45!! All that extra free time, I won't know
what to do with myself.
Gotta get moving here, ready for a second cup and start my routine.
Have a great day in whatever you do and be safe

Morning, all.....this will be short as we're off to do our 2nd Bourbon tour today.....you all have to search "Bourbon Trail of Kentucky" to read the history of bourbon.....even if you don't partake in the spirits, the history is really interesting.........

Donna & I may do some fishing tomorrow.....see if we can catch "the big one".....

It's been chilly here in the morning, but warms up nicely.....

Okay, Ernie's rattling my chain to get my butt moving.....so that's it for now....

Morning Ladies !
I get to go to the ocean today !!! Woo Hoo !!!!
Molly and I are going to check out the beach today - it'll be interesting to see what she thinks of the ocean. It's an off leash beach but I think she'll stay on leash till I see how she does. If I get pics I'll post them later today !!
Barb, your "lazy" day sounds lovely ! I love days like that - you got all your 'stuff' done early then were able to just relax and you got McD and Chinese food - Yummmmmmm !!
Hope everyone enjoys their day

The ocean ---Yaay, Trudy! Where? Don't pull a Sparkle, though. I don't think Oregon lets you park on the beach, anyway, at least most parts.

It sounds like some of you are doing some great traveling lately, and now, after three months in the wilds of the Trinity Alps, I've joined you again. And it feels good!

Good Morning! We arrived in Seaside Oregon yesterday, the drive from Ocean Shores WA was a sunny one but windy roads, down shifting down Hwy101. Crossed over the Astoria bridge into Oregon and by the afternoon the fog was rolling in. We are camped at the Seaside Thousand Trails park and the park is PACKED!!! I'm seeing LOTS of Alfa Seeya's in here, not sure I know any of the folks though. I road my bike around the park yesterday and the wind started up so it was a chilly ride, the leaves are starting to fall off the trees so the beginning of Autumn.
Had dinner ( Chinese) with friends in Warrenton that are camped over in Long Beach WA .

I am shocked to see this park so full!!! Makes you wonder if everyone is starting to head South or what? One guy next to us is heading back to Portland.
Fort Stevens is not far away in Warrenton, we camped there one time with the family and it's a really nice park and lots of job opportunities for workampers. We'd like to work there someday but not until we have seen the East coast.

Can't camp on the beach here in Seaside, the town has alot of shops, Lewis & Clark stopped here and they have a statue of them on the Promenade. Good Restaurants, my favorite is Dooger's for their Clam Chowder!! I got their recipe and make it all the time now.

Here is the website for the Astoria Column that you see from the Astoria bridge. Dan & I climbed to the top of it one year.

If the fog breaks I might go wander about....shopping is close by might go shopping hee-hee-hee :D

Barb, I did have afternoon tea and homemade chocolate chip cookies dropped off by a friend. I was off early this morning, I am taking a fun class at the local community college. Thought I might find some new friends in the class but they are mostly couples. I left there and bought ice cream and cake to take to the assisted living home to visit my father. That was a flop, he was in a really nasty mood (he has dementia) so I came home. I ate a creamcicle because my daddy was mean to me, and now I am going to cut grass. Do I need to get a life or what?

Ants usually follow something into the rig - I suggest you make sure none of your lines are on the ground. The worst culprit is the electric cord. Don't let it touch the ground from the box to your rig. I then keep a dryer sheet in with where the line coils - but if you have ants currently, I'd try ant bait there, maybe.

I have to be especially careful of this down here in fire ant country. Would hate them in here. My first winter regular ants came up with my electric hose - learned my lesson well.

I sprinkle Comet around the jacks, hoses, etc and all around the RV if I am in ant areas.

Sorry ShirlV that your Dad is in such a bad mood, I used to see that so often when I worked in the Nursing homes, really sad for the family members and my heart goes out to you. (((((((((HUGS)))))))) to you!

Jenny,
I heard about doing that - then was in a park where they said one of the residents cats died from drinking water after the rain - turns out it had the comet in it. That scared me as I travel with my dogs and they drink water off the ground. So, I try to stay with anything that is pet friendly.
