Tuesday.....it's a Hop, Skip and Jump Morning for me.. I'm off to the races today.. Have to take DH to the airport ..he has to fly up to Boston...then back to the Lab for blood work..ugh...I'd normally call car service but lately the prices have jumped sky high.. I mean for me yes a 40 minute down and 40 minute back ride..but some how I can't see paying $325 round trip..it's doubled since the gas prices..Yikes ! So as DH drives, I type.. LOL Yes, you are all with me right now on this ride...Using DH's laptop and air card .. how marvelous... This is a first for me..by the way.. I mean me not driving and being able to sit back cozy like and post..hahahahahaha.. Modern Tech what can I say.. Now, I'll be able to just lean back and do take out... Chinese to be exact for tonight and tomorrow...yeah, why bother just get the combinations and they've got lots of food..so yeah, two days in a row...LOL now folks is that lazy or what.. even manage to throw in a McDonald's breakfast after the lab.. got that 24 hour fast job..but have my bottle of water with me..slurp..gosh sure miss my coffee...but you betcha I'll have a pot on when I get back...I mean I can do the quick breakfast thingy..but have to have my perked pot......now let me take a glance through and see what's been happening in your world....

Asirimarco..(Carol) I had to take a second peek..when I saw the title Nashcar..was thinking oh maybe she did a typo...too funny... I'll say .."Creative" aaaah but did notice those wild turkeys...LOL sticking their necks up high.. and it getting close to oh yeah.. Thanksgiving..perish the thought :) LOL

Topic of Solar panels is always interesting and Avalen (Ava) I have to also check out that wind generator made for RVs too... my problem would be.. not being able to climb up to position these...mmmmmm wonder if they have push button levels..now that would be a good thing ...but of course you'd have to have power running to do that..Hey, so I think of these things...how many of you Sista's can climb up on top of your rig.. Honestly.. by yourself now... Yeah I could also call someone walking by.. Ya got a minute LOL Just asking... cause my knees..I'd never make it up..

RVGranny (Lori and Ernie ) good to hear that all is well with you and family and friends.. goodness you're family sounds like mine.. population explosion...I've bought my yarn for when I go to Florida.. have a few baby blankets and an afghan to make...but I also have that book to read.. I'll put that one for when I go to bed..read a bit before sleep this way I'll remember LOL..

Avalen (Ava) I saw that Dog Article on TV amazing... I know several people that train dogs to be service dogs and I have a friend who raises capuchin monkeys (sp) for training.. She showed dogs for years and then got into this as one of her cousins became disabled . Takes a lot of patience and boy those monkeys can be a hoot to work with.. especially when they decide they want to misbehave..holy hannah...been there and seen that number.. LOL but such a worth cause... ONe of my friends Standard Poodle where's her jacket as Claire has MS and Darla (the Standard) goes everywhere with her and is such a sweet heart... My boy Zeke is awfully smart.. He picks up the dishes..(Critters) and brings them to me..then also picks up DH's socks brings them.. anything left out he'll grab and even the darling will bring the trash too..LOL but he goes in the trash for it.. LOL Now this is a fact.. when I had my surgery.. He would help me get to and from the bathroom even help me ..as I held on to his collar.. he'd back up and help me get up out of a chair or off the john.. yep fact !!! I do believe he could be trained to be a Service dog.. only problem is.. He's eat anyone that attempted to come near me...oooooooh my..

Ok, I'm at the airport .. have to change seats and head on back.. it's a drop off kiss good bye and see ya later... You sista's must have been real busy on the road...or getting things ready to head out... ok... well I'm getting ready to head back....

See ya back at the kitchen table for coffee... Echo, ya hear I got to have mine later so you have one for me...and all the rest.. if ya care to join us... Cedar, Ava, Mtntophoundz (Mollie) Paulette and ShirlV come on and have a seat... pickin up Sausage biscuits on the return....:)

May your Adventures be Great Ones and your Journey be Safe too...

God Bless

Good Morning! Here I am zooming right through. This week is a short week at school. Not sure why, but the kids don't go Friday. So that means no work Friday for me. I already have so much planned it won't feel like I have had a day off, but thats OK. Scotty worked on my laptop last night and I am going to try it out tonight to see how it does. It blue screened on me. He really thinks its the fan not kicking on, I hope he is right. It did that right after we got it once and then never did it again. Luckily Scotty is pretty good at that stuff. Until then I will be using the kids computer. Plus I have a new computer at work...yipee. Ok its time to get started on my day. Take care and hugs to you all!

Hi there Zeee and all our friends! Hang onto that water bottle Zeee, it will have to do for another hour or so it sounds like. But then,...bring on the coffee!

I'm on a run to get to work,... I'm one of the ones that supervises the kids (K-12) in the school cafeteria before the first bell and home room attendance. it get's a little wild,... in the noisy sense,... not in the mean or fighting way. We're a small school, ave. one class per grade level and about 20 in it. Some grades are 22, some are less,... It's nice in a small school, everyone knows everyone and the highschool kids play with the little ones! Gotta love that!

have a great day all.....

Good morning all you busy gals! I'm just going to sit here a spell and wake up a little.

Hopefully we've all seen the last of Ike now, man he was a doozie...from the southern coast all the way to New England!

I'll have an extra cup of java for you this morning to hold you over till you get your own, Barb. I hope you pass your tests today with flying colors.

I know I can get up on top of my rig, but don't know if I could get down :?

I did send a PM to Sharlotte Sunday morning and haven't heard back from her. I sure hope all is well. I know that portion of the state still has widespread power outages.

I'm off to read the posts and try to catch up. Have a swell day, all.

Edit, 10 a.m. CST: I just heard from Sharlotte (marslet) and she said things were getting back to normal down there. She reports tarps still on the roof and fences at odd angles, but sounds like they're doing o.k. I was sad to learn she won't be able to hitch a ride with us to the TX GTG

Hey! Gooooood Morning!

I over slept this morning. ? Well I guess I didn't over sleep so much as mis-set my alarm. Lost track of time last night I guess? Went to bed and set the thing to give me 7 1/2hrs of sleep and it did. It went off at 6. Shade let me hit the snooze button so I ended up not getting up until 6:15. Ohhh boy. I didn't realize it either until I came out in the kitchen to get my first cup on a fly by out the back door. Dang! So I have managed to read my two morning comics that I subscribe to on Yahoo, I clicked on the email from Animal Rescue and now I'm here. Got to get my late butt dressed for work. Had to take a miss on the shower this morning. No time really, but honestly I don't stink! LOL

Barbz, I don't envy you driving up there in all that morning traffic! OH!!!! Please be careful I know that there are some wild fools up there on the road and that morning rush can be wicked bad. You bet'cha that I'll raise a mug in your honor, just to help ya over that bump till ya get home and get some perked. :D

Well I'm off here. Got to get at it. Blech!!!

Hope everyone has a great day, stay safe and sane.

Love to all

Good morning ladies! I'm sorry I haven't been on lately. I'm starting a new business & it has taken up a lot of time. I've been reading posts trying to get caught up. Me & two of my naked pups are having "girls week at the beach"! Hubby & I brought the whole pack down in the RV last week. He wanted to go back home, but we weren't done having fun so he went home & left us here.
I am loving it!!! The first thing I did was bike over to the CG store & buy awning tie downs. The awning does not rattle the whole RV now. I'm going to enjoy this trip all I can, b/c with this gas prices, we won't be going back out for a while! I'll try to post some pics of my home sweet home this week. :D

Hope you all are well! I'm going to catch up on some posts now! :D

Barb, Did you bring extra sausage biscuits? I worked at the hospital for three days and I think of Toby Keith's song "I am good once as I ever was". I still do the job but do nothing when I get home. Today is slow motion day. You make me tired with hopping, skipping and jumping. A good thing about being a hospital employee, I got a DPT shot. They are suggesting Pertussis vacine because whooping cough is coming back. I needed the tetanus. Cedar, I don't know if the schools suggest this also. I had a day care center for twenty children 2-6 yrs. I was told when I took classes that if the children were too unruly to lay on the floor. They said nothing stops a small child better. I guess that wouldn't work with older children. :D It is cloudy and cool this morning. I think a proper afternoon tea is called for today.

just a quick good morning as I slept all the way til the alarm went off at 5:15, normally
I'm up at 3 or 4 so guess my body stress is telling me something these days. Second
cup of coffee, throw my shirt on and I'm out the door. Will have to catch up on the
posts after work. Take care ladies and have a great day.

ps...I can get up on my roof and get down but it does make me a bit nerveous
cause I know accidents can happen and it would be a long fall.

Morning! My allergies are rearing their ugly heads...went to bed with a headache and woke up with a headache so I decided I wasn't going to work. I'd probably feel guilty if I didn't have something like 20 weeks of sick leave accumulated.

Good Luck with your tests today Barb. I really can't imagine driving in New York traffic...I'm used to hopping in my car and driving 20 miles to work in about twenty minutes. Put the petal to the metal and dodge the deer, pheasants and wild turkeys! I learned that the hard way...had a bad Fall about six years ago...one beautiful September morning I saw a buck and two doe in the ditch and was able to stop before I hit one of them...the two doe ran in front of the car..then the buck..but that son of a gun stopped right by the front passenger side..kicked the car like a mule and chit and peed on the hood! Cracked the signal cover and left a dent in the fender. Wish I would have had a video camera...probably could have made a mint on America's Funniest Home Videos. Then later that fall when it was dark on the way to work I hit and killed and buck and a doe...I don't need a hunting license...I have a car and a drivers license. After that my work car was tagged the "deer magnet" and the joke in town was if you were going deer hunting ask to borrow Pat's car...park it in a field and they will come!

Cedar, the school you work at sounds like the three schools where I taught...small..eveyone knew everyone. I can't help but think the kids do get a better education because it's not easy for them to fall through the cracks. I am so impressed with the test scores at our small local school...they are consistently way above average. Having morning duty is certainly a wake-up call isn't it? I seldom had to do it because I was a secondary teacher, but did fill in on occasion..wow those elementary kids have a lot of energy in the morning.

Shirlv...I work at a prison and DOC is poking employees with a needle all the time...think I am vaccinated for everything imaginable and some things that haven't been heard of yet. Boy...I know what you mean about "not as good as I once was" I used to be able to come home from work and get so much accomplished...now it's a chore just to make a meal and do a load of laundry. My house keeping standards have certainly dwindled.

Echo...you have to find a different job...any luck on those apps you were putting out awhile back?

Well...think the Zyrtec and Aleve are kicking in...I'm going to try to pack the new rig with some non-perishables and make a few goodies. Plans are to pull the new 5er to the campground this weekend and try it out.
My mind works like lightning...one brilliant flash and it's gone.

Aaaah got my first cup of coffee and the sun is peeking through the trees and the morning fog, dew drops glistening off the leaves. It's moving day, our hideaway in the woods is over and we are off to Seaside Oregon. Got lots of time with our friends Ralph & Joanne, Bob & Sue and cousins Grant & Donna. Next campground is closer to shopping so you can ride your bike to town or the beach, I'll be on a full hookup site so I can use my own shower again :D . If I am on W/E only I use the bath houses.
Heading down Hwy 101......all aboard!

Sunday we had breakfast with everyone at the Shilo Inn overlooking the Ocean and we noticed Bob's truck had side mirrors that automaticallly extend in and out when he is pulling his 5th wheel. Trudy do you have that feature on your mirrors of your truck?

I climb on my roof about once a month. If I'm parked in the northeast under all those trees, I usually climb up quickly when unhooking to make sure there's no tree branches, etc. Here it's only been every couple months, as not much to get up there, but I visually check the edges, etc and last week I took up some goop (don't know the name) and filled in some tiny little cracks. I don't mind the climbing up but HATE the initial climb over to start down the ladder. I've never liked ladders.

So glad to hear Sharlotte is good - sad to hear she can't come along to the gtg, but do understand.

Mollie, my computer goes to that blue screen if I don't use a fan on it - this laptop will overheat (my old one never did). I purchased a fan thingie made just for this at Best Buy originally - broke the connection to it about a month ago and bought a cheaper version on Amazon to immediately replace it. I've never had it happen since. The good thing about my puter, is when I boot it back up afterwards, it says it went off because it was too hot. I do recommend anyone who spends hours and hours with their laptop on like I do, to use one of these.

This is the one I bought this time:
Kinemax Cool Pad
It's cheap - but doing the job - just not sure it'll travel as well as the one I got last time:
Targus Chill Pad

Had the first one about 3 years - so not a bad deal and something I wouldn't be without now by some company or another.
