PBS special on ferrets..

Two nights ago I happened to come across a special on the PBS channel about showing ferrets. They followed several ladies in their quest to win at the biggest show held in Ohio. It was quite interesting to see all the different fur colors/patterns they have, and really wild as almost all the ladies tend to play dress-up with them! I also got to hear the sounds they make when playing etc. I can see why people fall in love with them!

Was that the show where they showed a lady who has several ferrets and had a plastic tube running down her stairs with the ferrets sliding down it? I think she had a ferret shelter? Maybe you saw a different PBS show but I saw one a couple years ago like you described. It is a good way for people to see how they really are. I'm glad you enjoyed it! Sometimes I sit and watch these crazy critters and think that no one would believe me if I tried to tell them what these guys do around here!

All you can do is laugh, grab the camera, and then clean up the mess (including the ferret who had to be bathed to get the styrofoam off his fur from the static electricity!).

Yes, Barbie, they did show ferrets running thru a maze of see thru flex tubing. So funny!

That must be the same show I saw.
I had my first ferret , Greta, in a ferret show once and she did pretty good, altho she pooped on the judge! Not sure if she lost any points for that or not! (I was holding her for a long time waiting for the judging to start and didn't realize she needed to go potty, even tho she was getting very antsy!).
I have also had several of my ferrets in costume contests over the years and they always won first place!

I have a 12 foot clear plastic tunnel for my guys. It is fun to watch them chase each other thru it!

Makes me want one of those cute little critters! Oh no, I cannot have one. Too much hunter in Nicky, not safe for ferret.
