I've been making this for about 35 years, got the recipe out of a magazine in NJ. It's one of my all time favorites 'cause it's not real sweet.

I had a smart A$$ reply, but then remembered that Vickie is there and I'm sure you two have been into the Bailey's and Coolers, so I'll let it slide and just point out that it's a Jewish Apple (not AppleS) cake.

So, what's Jewish about it? Do they have to be Kosher?
And I beg your pardon - this afternoon's beverage delight is Passion Fruit Margaritas, served with cheese, crackers, and cashews. We have now switched over to wine. So, go on - hit us with your best shot!!

Am I missing something? I don't see a recipe here for this cake? Is it posted somewhere else?

But I still want to know what makes the recipe Jewish, and why aren't there ANY apples listed in the ingredients?

I added bold to the apples. Not sure why they aren't in the ingredient's list, but they are in the prep part.
