I had a similar hut for Twitch last summer, his last with me, when I discovered he liked traveling to campgrounds with me and did not get car/trailer sick. Yours looks bigger than mine was, and Felix seems to love it! Have as many wonderful times with him as possible, and I know he will be happy with his family. Hugs and licks from Molly for Felix, too!

I am so sorry to hear about Felix illness, Jenny. He looks very content in his condo though. Cancer doesn't seem to care who it attacks.
Felix, looks very comfortable in his condo and I KNOW he feels the love you and Dan have for him. Beautiful Cat!!

Awww Jenny and Dan....so very sorry about your precious Felix. He's such a nice guy, it's a shame that he has cancer. He's where he needs to be with his mom and dad. Big hugs to you and Dan and a special rub for the little guy.

Not sure who loves the condo more...Felix or Biff LOL they both like going in there hooray!!!!! Felix has his good days and bad..so far he still has energy to jump the walls and wander and eating, that's a good sign!! I am not going to try and keep him in the yard here but he will be watched close till we leave May 1st

My mom had a cat named Felix. Was a wonderful cat! Sorry to hear your Felix is sick. Ferrets are very prone to cancer too. My first 4 ferrets all died of cancer and some of them had 2 or 3 kinds at one time. It is very hard for both you and your cat to go thru but as long as you make sure he has a good quality of life and is content and comfortable, then all is well. It is when it is time to make that dreaded decision, that it gets difficult. They usually let you know tho when they are ready to go. Love him up as much as you can! Looks like you are spoiling him pretty good tho! He's a lucky kitty!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Jenny, if Felix is at all like my last cat - he'll not let you know he doesn't feel good - until he's almost gone. And I love the pet condo to use for him and the others outside. That is truly a great idea.

I am sorry to hear about your pet. My two cents: In MHO you are doing the right thing.

Felix has his good days and bad days, I think today is a bad day, maybe because it is pretty hot ( 94 degrees) so he's sleeping up on the bathroom counter in the Motorhome, I have the A/C on. I just pray he makes the journey to where my Aunt lives in Richland WA by the 13th ( my 2nd back up Vet). He has been jumping the walls around the yard and wandering, he gets mad at me when I find him! Think he is was just trying to find a cool place today so made sure he is inside and he's sleeping now. He is getting sensitive to touch , still eating, drinking and voiding that's a good sign. When he stops this then I know it is time to say good-bye. :(

Jenny, give me a call when you get to my area and I'll try and get over and have lunch with you. Not much planned for the next couple of weeks. Do you still have my phone number?? If not, I'll PM you or email.

So sorry about Felix's diagnosis---but I think you're doing the right thing as well. Cats/dogs do not do well with chemo.

Thoughts and prays for all of you, 16yrs is a long time. While the decision was hard I also think you've chosen wisely.

Love the kitty condo!!!
