Kitty condo

We got bad news recently that Felix has Cancer, we took him in to have Biopsies of the lumps on his neck and a whole bunch of little ones all over his body. Because he is going to be 16 in Aug we are not going to put him through Chemo. We are just going to make him comfortable till time to say good-bye. We have 3 Vets lined up along the way so between Yuma and the Pacific Northwest we have it covered should he go down hill and need to be put to sleep. I bought this foldable screened in room for him so he is safe outside and can't get away from our campsite. I have it turned over so he has more shade otherwise the "roof" is a zippered round door and 2 other doors on the side. bottom and sides are waterproof, comfy and folds flat and stores in a matching blue carrying case. This one is a large one $75 and he loves going in there so now he gets to stay outside longer and I know he will not wander off and die.
Felix is our first cat together so he is pretty special to Dan & I.

So sorry, but I think you made the right decision. Chemo is harsh.

Love the condo and he seems very content. Know it was a tough decision, but agree that it was the best. And the fact that you've found vets along your route makes it even more so. 16 years, a long and happy time together-both for kitty and you and Dan. carold

My condolences to you...hard decision to make, but it's what I would do too.

I love the condo...could use something like that for Bandit at the cgs. Great that it folds up for travel. Where did you get it? Can it be ordered online?

Liz I got the Pen from one of the Vendors at the Yuma Marketplace but I did see them online called "Pet Pens" mine cost $69.99 and was a large one, noticed online they were higher priced. Yes Bandit would like it because he is zipped in and can see out. Mine just want to sit outside all day and big enough you could put a litter box in. I chose the big one so all three cats could sit in it at the campgrounds when we head North.

Hi Liz, no that is not mine but that is almost identical to mine, octagon soft sided. Talked to Kenny and he will be at the Puyallup fair Sept 9th in WA he said to give him a call 253-686-8768 Pampered Pets Kenny & Kristie Paine . Mine was the large one $69.99 and if he sends it to you you have to pay for shipping too. This other one looks as nice and if you save shipping I'd buy from them.

Liz the closer I looked it is just like mine only prettier colors but does not have the carrying bag to put it in like mine. I'll leave it up to you but Felix sure loves being in his! I have the doors open on his and he's sleeping inside content!

I know you will cherish the days you have and I'd do the same thing as you,
chemo is just too hard for older pets to get through. The condo is fabulous
and was a great idea for on the road.
