I think Plan B will work much better. Gives you time to enjoy your trip. And DH doesn't have to drive, drive, drive, too! And I really like the idea that you would have some long weekends still left to take short trips. Those can really rejuvenate you.

Well...actually it means I do not have to Drive Drive Drive...LOL I think Dh has driven about 10-15 miles with the trailer and I have driven...5,000 plus. In fact now that I think about it..I might have to get me one of those plans in place that if something happens to me..someone will have to come rescue him.

Or he needs to have some else teach him..he makes me nervous wreck. I try to coach him on how to drive while towing and it makes him more tense about it.

I volunteer Ron to come and get the truck and trailer if something happens to you! I think that is only fair since you said you would come and get me if something happened to Ron.

Glad that things are coming together for you as you plan this year's vacation. I am sure you will enjoy Silverwood - we have never been there but have driving by and it looks like a fun place to be for a couple of days. I can't wait to see pictures of Glacier National Park since we never made it that far last year.

I know, maybe you can teach me how to drive the motor home and Ron can teach Norm how to drive the truck and trailer.

What a good planner you are! I have loved watching the evolution of this trip, and I hope that some day I will need to plan one similar. And you have driven one heckuva lot of miles hauling! CONGRATS! I hope I can be as daring and as brave as you are (BUT not as daring and brave as Sharon and her rock races!)

Been to Glacier, Yellowstone, and of course, Grand Teton,, NPs.. and they are all pretty.

Yellowstone has, by far, the most interesting things to see all tolled. The tetons are very pretty country,, but just streams, lakes, rivers and mtns. Yellowstone has the geysers and paint pots and boiling mud.. etc...wildlife,, and the grand canyon of the yellowstone, artist's point. (a must see). Lots of campgrounds too! Try to hit it on a weekday,, less ppl.

As for Glacier NP,,, I didn't see a glacier and i've been there twice. The place to see real glaciers is Alaska. Sorry! But they are abundant up there, right by the road!

Nevertheless, GNP is a beautiful place and different type of country/scenery than yellowstone,,, ONe seems to feel "higher" up elevation wise.. perhaps cuz you're further north, but also more alpine roads, etc. ALL equally beautiful. I did see some mtn goats in GNP,, a first for me in the wild. They are solid white and be sure to take binoculars as they are usually up high on the mtnsides.

I love all the national parks. They hold a special place in my heart, but my first and fav will always be Yellowstone!
