The Art of the Snuggle

Postby BirdbyBird » Mon Feb 22, 2010 9:50 pm

Remi here this time. The Gray Haired Lady has been having some issues with the food munchies as several of you seem to have noticed. We here in the puppy pack want to demonstrate our technique to slow down her ability to munch in the evening. According to Herschel this intervention is not recommended for the summer months but seems particularly suited for cold gray February evenings especially while watching the winter Olympics. Some recommend a longer couch. Herschel said he often participated under the expanded conditions but presently since we have only a love seat to work with he keeps to the floor and keeps feet and standing space to a minimum.

Image

So first we let the GHL get comfortable on the couch under her blankie. Here Stuart and Blondie demonstrate their skill of coordinated snuggle. You can tell they are experienced.

Image

Then Stuart let me practice with him.

And I get to practice holding the GHL down with Blondie.

Image

Then Blondie and Stuart let me practice with the Izzy one. Izzy knows how to snuggle but doesn't like to stay still very long. She always thinks that there might be something more exciting somewhere else. Duh, if no one is in the kitchen there really isn't a good reason to wake up and move.....

Image

You can tell that we are very nice puppies and sometimes even let Ed, the cat, hang out with us.

Image

And with the smaller couch we usually just stop at "three dog nights" but we take turns.

So winter may not be over for a few more weeks. :o It just gives us more time to practice our snuggle art.

PS: This is Ed here. Those pups think they are pretty special  but I can tell you that one purring cat can hold her on the couch all by himself..... :)

I'm thinking with all this lovin warmth & snuggles, TGL should have $0. heating bills! Remi, I'm so glad you're learning to post for yourself, I bet you've been watching Herschel, huh.

Please send me some snuggles; it has turned cold here again and the munchies are returning. Hurry before I eat something else.

Right On, Ed! But in this house there are three cats, so the two dogs really are "out snuggled"....

LOVE this post! :D

So glad to see I'm not the only one who gets snuggled to death. I now have all three furbabies cuddling me at night - a true 3 dog night - and I NEVER get cold. Most nights I don't even turn on the heat. Sophie has fit right in and sleeps under the covers with the rest of us.

Good work Remi & gang...you too Ed. Don't let that GHL near the kitchen in the evening...unless of course, there's something there for you...

I have 4 critters and can't get a bedtime snuggle from any of them! The ferrets just kiss and run. Zoey won't let me touch her other than to get just within arms reach to scratch her whiskers. And Mocha isn't allowed on the bed (Zoey's rule) so I only get some snuggles from her on the couch occasionally. Maybe I need a boyfriend...or maybe a dog would be a better choice!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Much better than one of those snuggies. Good job Remi. Tell GHL to come back to FL.

Good job Remi and gang! Unfortunately that doesn't work around here.....I just have to look like I'm getting up and everyone beats me to the kitchen!
