I'll be in Key West in May but will be in Pa in October. Wish I could make it but not at that time. You all will have a blast.

Well come on, Barbie, you're only a little over 1,000 miles away, much closer than us, LOL. And who knows you just might have your RV by then! Think positive! :D

I think Cedar and Soos should come too! It's probably less than 500 miles or somewhere around there, I'm gonna be traveling 1,300-1,400 miles (and worth it). Let's see if we can convince them, come on! :D

As much as I'd like to spend time with you all I'll still be working in May. We don't get out until the last Friday of June. Also 500 miles is too far for me.... I can't afford long trips like that, sorry to say. If any of you are in the north country get in touch with me and we'll do a mini-gtg for sure! :D

Here's my schedule, thus far, IF I don't or IF I DO retire at the end of June:

I have two weeks at the end of March and the beginning of April (last school day Friday March 26th until Monday, April 12) which is our spring vacation. I will then work until the end of June.

However, IF the school is not going to award me any compensation for all the sick days I have accrued, I plan to take a bunch of them any time I want before I retire!

I would LOVE to get to a GTG with you all, but it's a bit further than 500 miles, I believe, depending on where it would be. I can't get my trailer out of here in the spring as my driveway is way too muddy, but, with my new truck camper cap and a good tent to expand my space, I can drive any time! I will not be able to commit to anything until I know what the school board is willing to do to give me an 'incentive' to retire!

So keep me in mind, ladies, and we shall see what we shall see.
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

I vote for sometime in the warmer months (summer), anytime in the June/July/August time frame should be warm enough, but if that's not what everyone else can do then we'll just swipe Ernie's snuggie, LOL. Mitch can fight Spinner for his! :

Ya know - I'm getting mighty sick of the short jokes! Jeesh.

I'm into the warmer weather, too.

 That's funny because this was one time I wasn't even thinking about you being short, it was more of an image of you and Spinner with each of you biting an end of the snuggie and tugging that had me giggling!

I'm game for the GTG. It is not too far a drive for me - maybe 4 hours or so. I'll keep watching for more information.

Okay, did Streets & Trips.....using Tupper Lake, NY ( Sorry, Cedar, forgot your home town there so took the one I knew... ) it says 474.4 Miles from there to Arendtsville, PA...which is where the campground is....7 hours and 45 minutes....just a thought on the mileage....as far as the date, I was thinking mid July or early August....( too warm for the snuggies... ) Hope this helps everyone on their planning....will look at the calender for a firm date soon....just looking for feed back here to narrow it down.....

Anywhere in that time frame is good for us, Lori.

Just need a site that is wheelchair accessible as much as possible
and wide enough for the wheelchair lift.

Sorry Lori,... July is full of bluegrass events here, and my 50th high school reunion, same for early Aug, ...more bluegrass annual events, plus I start working my second job the last week of Aug. That's just too far for me,... it would be a two day haul each way. I'd love to meet people, but I don't do long trips. My life is too full here to do that, plus the expense is too much as well. :D
