Thoughts on PA GTG 2010!!

Next week at this time we'll be in a new year....so to start it off right, I suggest planning early the PA GTG for this coming summer.....this seemed to work well last year.... Some showed interest in doing Gettysburg and staying at the campground where we have our seasonal summer site....Ernie & I would gladly host and plan some great touring of the Battlefield and the surrounding area.....Some info on the campground....Sites are W & E with a dump station (if there on Sunday, they have a honey wagon service)....8 miles from Gettysburg....surrounded by apple orchards and farm land....wooded campground with stream, small pond with water fall.....price at last check is $23/night....fire rings for campfires....

We will be arriving back there the 1st of May and as of this date the calander is clear for the whole summer.....the only really hot/humid time is late July, early August. So please let me know if and when you all would like to GTG and we'll go from there....Tina and Peggy can give you a review of the campground, etc. as they visit last Sept.....

Can't wait for the fun to begin, again.....

The camp sites next to the creek were beautiful, quiet creek and nice walking around the campground...the dogs made sure I got to see all the sites The tour guides were the best !

Well, Vicki, you could go half way to Mitch's place...take a few days to rest up....then onto Gettysburg, PA....it just a thought....maybe you could talk her and George into coming along....

Do I have to?
Just as a preliminary, I asked Ronnie if he wanted to go to PA for a GTG and he said yes. He always wants to go somewhere, but it will depend on particulars, we haven't even planned on trips for this year except that somewhere along the way I guess I'm gonna have to spend some time with a certain transplanted Yankee (no names, but she's really short and likes to be mean to me).

Vicki....The name of the campground is Cole Bros. Conewago Campground, Biglerville, PA...Google it for directions and location.....It is NOT Conewago Isle Campground....which is located near York, PA....

WOW!!! Yep, that's sure is our home campground....The entrance!!! Ernie wants to know where you found the photo....it's a good one!!! The Group camping area to the right...beyond the trees and under the trees across the creek....Tina and Peggy stayed just to the right of the road in....

It's google maps, just click on the picture under the map, first it will show a big map, just wait and the street view will show. It shows 1505 and if you use the dohicky in the top left it will let you turn around and look at all sides. Turn it till you see the road going back towards the campground and put your curser on the road and a circle/mark will show as you move down the road, double click your way down the road to where you want to go. You can stop anywhere you want and turn a 360 view. I just found the best place and used the snipping tool to capture a pic of it, put it on photobucket and TaDaaaaa! Hope I explained that okay.
