Hey, Karen.....count us IN.....will have Ernie call and make the reservations tomorrow.....wrote it all down for him....lol...he's out of the woods more than I am....lol...

Did my Army dental training in San Antonio so am familar with the city, but remember that was 37 years ago....Ernie, our son, Bill, and I vacationed there in 1989.......we plan to do the GTG with you all then take up a site at Ft. Sam Houston for the rest of Nov......then we'll be going to Corpus Cristi Naval Air Station for Dec.,Jan., and Feb......I have "Belle" the Mascot to pass on to one of you.....it's from the PA GTG.....

Beth, remember we have the wireless router on the Verizon air card....so if we can get a Verizon cell signal, we'll have internet.....so we'll give the password to all who may need it....

Those of you who haven't been to a GTG have got to attend one.....we has so much fun this weekend and are looking forward to this one.....

Karen, your activity plans sound great!!! Am looking forward to it.......

And don't forget, girls, I bring my own "rv Handy-man and Chef" with me.....lol.....all kidding aside, Ernie really enjoys the GTG, too!!!!

There was something else I wanted to talk about, but forgot!!! When it comes back to me, I'll write it down first....lol...

I'm absolutely tickled that you are coming! Tommy will be thrilled for the company. It will be nice for him to learn some tricks of RV'ing from a pro. (Both he and Jenny's Dan had a ball at the LA gtg in Dec. 06). He is a veteran too so bet the guys will get along just great.

Oooh, OOoh, Lori and Ernie are coming, too!

I just looked at the clock and in trying to read the posts on the forum, did not get my call in on time to reserve - I WILL do so tomorrow- on break (my breaks on Sat and Sun are non-existent).

This is going to be a great gtg. And any of you that want to come on down by Port Aransas or Corpus Christi over the winter - I'm sure Lori, Ernie and I would be thrilled to see you again (or some for the first time). As we'll only be about 1/2 an hour apart, I'm sure we'll be getting together occasionally.

Carolyn - so sorry you can't make it this year but I understand $$. Got any girlfriends out there who might want to come and share expenses?

Marslet, our friend, any chance you could join us??? Wouldn't be too terribly far for you, and I, for one, would love to meet you :)

Don't know Beth, don't like to travel by myself, and hubby has to work. Wouldn't be bringing the TT because of gas prices. So would probably be staying in a cabin if went. Plans are still up in the air, with getting Miss Emma, just don't know yet, but will let you know later. Thanks for thinking about me. Would love to meet you too. Brother in law is a priest in Corpus Christi and we usually make a trip down there to visit yearly, but no plans so far.

Prices have gone down a tad - and you could always stay in TX for awhile - nice country that time of year - and not real expensive :) So, Alice, C'mon down!

I can't remember if I posted this message.
I will not be at the GTG in Texas. The lady who was going to
help me drive backed out and it is too far to come alone.
God Bless all who are going

:( :? I am so totally jealous you all are going to have so much fun, wishing I
could be there too, asking for time off is not an option, and then of course
there is the budget thing. :(

I just found out I could FLY direct to San Antonio for about $220 (can't drive for that!) and then rent a car. Another forum member said she'd be staying in a hotel, so when you nail down the dates I can check on air fares and see if I can lock something in.
