Wake up, little Soosy, wake up! We are in Why? AZ. When I post pics I'll tell you why its called Why. The price is right, if we stay for a week it will only cost 12.00 a night for full hook-ups, laundry, little book exchange, Showers, Thanksgiving Dinner on Thursday. Its a beautiful day in the neighborhood.

Well, lookit that! Why is even on the map. I thought about taking 86 west since I was on Ajo Rd. anyway. However, three women  invited me to meet up with them near Mesa. Maybe next time. Am wondering how the road to Ajo is.

If you haven't seen them yet, be sure to check out the petroglyphs outside of Gila Bend - nice campground (no hookups but bathrooms) - worth an overnight. Loved talking to the camp hosts there.

We decided not to drive to Borrego Springs for Thanksgiving after all since there are two Thanksgiving get-togethers here at the campground. Why drive an extra 150 miles each way just to gobble down gobbler? My friend Steven is driving up from Yuma today for a week. Now he'll HAVE to show me all the dulcimer stuff he learned at the workshop in Tucson a few weeks ago.

Today looks like a good day to clean this rig a little. Outside is kind of a lost cause as the dead bugs from 1500 miles seem to have taken over. However, the inside is still salvageable.

Time for some breakfast.

Morning!
It's actually dry out this morning, but rain will return, no fear!
Coffee tastes good this chilly morning. Also having my steel cut oatmeal with sliced almonds and dried cranberries. Yum!
It's Tuesday so I bowl this morning. After that I need to pick up a few groceries since babysitting my 7 yr old GD this past weekend wiped me out of all my fruit and yogurt. I also will pick up Thanksgiving fare. Probably a turkey breast and fresh veggies for roasting. Love roasted veggies! Also need to pick up my prescriptions.
Have a super day, ladies!

GOOD MORNING SISTAHS!!!

It's a decent 48f here at the moment suppose to go up into the 60's. If the sun keeps shining it will be a beautiful day outside today.

Nothing much going on here to tell ya the truth. Kelly went the other night to see the new Twilight movie, I forget the name of the thing. But she came home just raving about it. Her 1/2 sister in NY really wants the 4 books of Twilight so Kelly is gonna see about ordering them online for her as a Christmas present. I guess she can get all four of them in hard cover for about $35.

Think I will get the sewing machine out today and do up Conner's blanket. While still in AZ I picked up the prettiest, softest blue and white check fleece and satin edging so I think that will be my project today. And I also have 2 fluffy pink blankets that I need to put together for Jenny as a caftan. I think I have some Velcro in my sewing box so that I can use it on the front to open and close the caftan as Jenny is breast feeding Conner. Not to sure what Kelly might want to do today.

Wow, between Beth, Sparkle and Chris we are most definitely getting a grand tour of Tuscon. Great pics ladies.

Nothing special for breakfast here. Coffee is of course right by my elbow but think I will only have a bowl of mini wheats. Liked shredded wheat when I was a kid and really like the minis.

Hope everyone has a grand day and finds enjoyment in all that they do.

Love to all

Chris, We will be sure to check out the petroglyphs and will tell you about the road. Why is only a few miles from Ajo - this whole road has been great so far, and is supposed to be the same the rest of the way. I like going different directions - but am glad you decided to come meet instead. You were close to Ajo if you were in Gila Bend - at least according to the camphost here. And, as Sparkle says, the price is right - would be even better for a month. And not so far from lots of things, including Tucson.

Oops, my comforter, which is finishing drying outside, just let the wind blow it mainly off the picnic table. Gonna go grab it.
