Good Sunday Morning, Sistahs!

Image

The Gregorian calendar repeats every 400 years, and no century starts on a Sunday.
The Jewish New Year never falls on a Sunday.
Only those months beginning on a Sunday will contain a Friday the 13th.

For further reading about Sunday, visit http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sunday.

Well, coffee's dripping, water's hot for tea, soda's in the fridge, along with the fixins' for a CC (Carolyn Cooler).
This morning, anyone care to try Waffles Benedict?

Image

If not, there's raspberry coffee cake and some steel-cut oats and a big mound of scrambled eggs made with cream, sour cream, and cheese. YUMMO.

Enjoy your day.
Travel safe.
Say a little prayer for those less fortunate than yourselves.

Good morning ladies
well those are a few sunday facts not well known, interesting.
Breakfast looks good, that would last me all day :D
Just gonna be a kick back day and enjoy doing nothing, well almost nothing,
routine dishes and put away the clean laundry from yesterday, then I'll do
nothing, hopefully there will be a good movie on the tube.
Enjoy your day and be safe.

GOOD MORNING SISTAHS!!!

Ahhhh, peaceful Sunday. ?? Well almost peaceful, Conner woke me up squalling at 8:25. :? ;) His Dad has him now in the living? opps I mean kitchen!!! Him not a happy boy for whatever reason. Dad gets him calmed down for a bit then he starts back up. Oh! It's quiet again. Poor little bugger has the hiccups now.

Not sure what is going on today. Got our room changed over the day before yesterday so maybe a little extra straightening up. Dishes of course, always dishes. ~sigh~

Temp is suppose to be only 36f out there, it's chilly for sure. But that ol' Sun is just a shining so it might turn out nice even if the weather page says only in the high 50's.

Got coffee in hand but not sure what I will do for breakfast? Maybe a couple of over easy eggs? Hmmmm? Sounds good to me!

Hope everyone has a great day and stays safe!!!

Love to all

It's only 8:00 here on the West Coast, Echo.

First night back in my "house" after a week at my mom's. Although I really enjoyed my visit, it's sure good to be back where there's very little traffic and no lines of people everywhere. Think I'll have some of those squirt pancakes this morning, this time with syrup. We've been eating them with sugar-free jam because of my mom's diabetes (probably much better for us, too), but it's hard to make a real good judgment about pancakes without syrup.

Looks like another perfect day outside, too. Sky's blue and the sun is out. Might be a perfect day for a bike ride or something.

They do have sugar free syrup some isn't too bad tasting. But what I like for pancakes or waffles is to use fresh pears, apples or blueberries and add a tiny bit of vanilla or almond flavoring, a small amount of water (less than a tablespoon) some cinnamon then put it in the microwave and cook till fruit is a bit soft. Great topping and all those fruits are pretty low in sugar.

It's cloudy and overcast here rain and colder temps coming in for Thanksgiving. Guess I should be out and about before the rain starts. Speaking of rain please keep the people in Ireland in your thoughts and prayers they are having massive flooding and many have been evacuated.

GOOD ALMOST-AFTERNOON!!

Sorry I was late, but I've been on the phone with TracFone, trying to get my new phone activated and all my units transferred, plus my phone number. I now have the correct renewal date on there, and the correct number of units, and what I THINK was my old phone number! As I never used my cell phone for anything but travel, as we have no service here, I had amassed 2544 units (local minutes) of talk time! As they messed up my old phone info while the Radio Shack girl was trying to activate my new phone, I lost all that info, including my old phone number. I am just hoping my not-too-accurate brain memory got it correct, but I am waiting for Weldon to call me to check it out. He has my old number on his cell phone memory. It only took 3+ hours of waiting on hold and trying a thousand different things to get this done, but I am hoping it now IS done!

I also put down new carpeting in the truck bed camper this morning, cranked down my stabilizer jacks on the trailer, and got laundry ready to do. I made it to the dump and bought groceries yesterday, along with getting this updated cell phone for just 30.00! It's a much better phone than my older one which cost way much more back in the day. It seems to have a better antenna to pick up any weak signals on this property.

Thanks for the coffee, Mitch, and the great info about calendars and stuff. Tastes good! I'm having my second pistachio muffin with it for brunch right now! I won't be off that kick until all 4 of them are gone! You are still not your usual self, Mitch----I hope things will get better for you, or that you can find a way to cope with things that will allow you to be happy. Heaven knows, sometimes it's hard to find stuff to be happy about in the face of adversity, and I always have a hard time doing it----but it really does work. I still remember one good friend telling me after my baby died, "Be sure you never lose sight of the happy parts of your life, even while this traumatic unhappiness is going on. Look at your little living daughter, hug her close, and share some fun times with her." I thought she must be crazy to think I could possibly find happiness in the face of my loss, but I found her words coming and going in my brain over the next few days and weeks and months and years----and she was right on. I am sending strength your way----feel it?? :)

Echo, it sounds as if things are getting a bit better in your household----I sure do hope so! It's so good to hear from you regularly again!

Pancakes sound good to me, too, Chris! I have some frozen waffles I might try, later when my muffin wears off!

Ava, have a good day relaxing and watching the boob tube! I am going to do the same! First a trip in the Kicker to the pond with Molly, and then a good walk.

I'm off to do some laundry now, after I read the posts I have missed yesterday and today. Happy Sunday to us all-----it's 37 here and very grey, cloudy, and not nice! I would really love some fresh, white, purifying snow.....just up here, though, not down where Cedar is yet, until she gets her new baby parked!
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

Well...it is a quiet day here.
I need to clean the house..the upstairs/main part of the house...needs sweep and vacuumed...but I have been on strike with that. It seems my dear DH took the broom and vacuum cleaner downstairs a few days ago...which he does about once every two weeks...but seems to forget that it needs to come back up stairs. Normally I will go down and get it. But I am on strike...they all know that it is suppose to go back to it's spot. The kids use it in their rooms and return it to it's spot. So the reality is..it may or may not get done today. LOL

I did get 95% of all the scrapbooking stuff cleaned up and organized so I am ready for the long rainy days of winter.

DS 12 gets back from retreat this afternoon...I am sure he will be nice and grumpy and sent to bed early. He doesn't do well when he stays up all night.

DD 15 has a Thrift shop formal for youth group tonight. You have to wear formals that you bought at the thrift store/or hand me downs. I think it is a neat idea.

I really need to get back on my diet and exercise plan...my weight seems to be creeping back up and it is the worst time of year to stay on a plan.

Good afternoon sistahs!

I was out trying to do some late season gardening. Cleaning up the front flower beds. I just don't have any interest in gardening. I went out with all good intentions and in about 10 minutes, completely lost interest. It's a beautiful day for it, sunny in the low 60s. This has happened every time I attempt to do the gardening. I think I have to come up with a plan B for the front yard. Sounds like a good winter project.

All this talk of pancake and muffins has made me hungry. Time to make some lunch.

Take care all. Linda
