Saturday morning

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Saturday morning

Postby avalen » Sat Nov 21, 2009 8:58 am

Good morning
Coffee is dripping, toast is in the toaster and theres bananas on the counter.
Today is filled with chores and errands. Grocery shopping, laundry, and a trip
to the post office. One other chore...go fill up the other propane bottle so I
don't run out before payday. These chilly nights really require the furnace.
But the days are beautiful lately. Only 3 days next week and its a 5 day weekend.
The coffee is done dripping and I'm off to see what adventures you ladies have
been on.
Have a great day and be safe.

GOOD LATE MORNING TO AVA AND ALL!!

It was wonderful to turn over when my alarm went off at 4:00 and go back to sleep until daylight! Molly was in a big hurry to go out, so I went onto the porch barefooted, stepped onto the foot-wipe rug by the door into a pool of soggy cat pee. I tossed the rug out onto the open deck to soak clean until spring, and mopped up the floor. Poor old Twitch had found a new place to let loose in his foggy brain! I am hoping if I don't put any rug back down there, he will use the litter boxes RIGHT next to the door! He is confined to his pen during the days I'm at school, but he's pretty good about using the litter boxes if I am home. Guess not any more! Oh well....do they make cat Depends? :)

Temperature is colder than yesterday----38 degrees----and I was hoping for some snow. Forecast was for sun today and tomorrow and warm temps, but so far, anyway, it's dark, overcast, and cold! Good day to go to the dump, I guess, and perhaps do some grocery shopping.

We made about 15 more wreaths yesterday, so we have about 30 made now. None are decorated, thus far, and that should make them beautiful. I got to work the crimper machine yesterday, and I brought a radio for us to work by music in the shop. That simple crimper machine, operated with a foot presser pedal, makes wreath making with the designated metal frames a piece of cake! All in all, a fun time down there, even for the most difficult of them. Lurch, the one who 'thinks manual labor is not for him,' sat on a stool and had others fetching tools and balsam boughs for him. Before the teacher showed up, I was making him get off his fat a55 and get his own stuff. He NEEDS to move, for heaven's sakes----all he ever does is sit and play video games and design cartoon characters on the computer. Once again, my best laid plans to force some exercise on the kid were stymied when the teacher showed up and allowed him to remain immobile. :x

I plan to get my student I spend the most time with (the one who is comatose for 4 periods a day due to drugs) a couple of new shirt tops and a couple of pairs of tripleX elastic-waisted pants to keep her grossly fat belly and butt under cover, and give her a little boost to her self-image. I just need a way to give them to her when others aren't around----perhaps after school----as I can't afford to do that for them all. She has exactly two sets of clothes that she wears now, with the same jacket each day.

Let us know what's going on in your neck of the woods/desert/seacoast/jungle, wherever you may be! Happy Saturday!

Just 7 hours of sleep last night. I'm back to normal! A do nothing day, if you can call it that. No plans to visit anywhere, at least. I bought a box of Velcro and I'm going to try and Velcro the mattress to the base. When I drive, the mattress slides forward about a foot. That means that even if the bed was made I have to remake it when I stop for the night. I'm also getting rid of a lot of stuff I haven't used in a year. And the storage space under the bed is where I'll find plenty, I'm sure. I'm going to get rid of a lot of Christmas stuff for instance. I took 4 grocery bags of stuff to the Vincent de Paul yesterday. Just think, if I getr rid of all this "stuff" I can buy more "stuff".

Good Morning … and we have a cool day with sunshine again… by afternoon late it will top out in the mid 50s… good for this time of year…
I am having a late coffee…. Will finish and go to the MH wipe out the frig and get it started… will set the furnace on a low temp just in case we get freezing temps in the next week and a half… if it stays above freezing I will put the vinegar into the water tank and let it slosh around on my way to FL then flush it when I get there… seems like a good plan…
I will be so glad to be outside with Shadow… and ride my trike… I have lost most of my strength with this bug… and before that… I had gotten quite strong while I was gone this summer but that quickly fades when you do not keep it up…
All is well here in Normal how is it where you are…

GOOD MORNING SISTAHS!

Thought I would get this in while it's still morning! :D Cool here this morning too, temp says 43f. Sun is shining it's little fiery heart out so it just might get to the 60's like the weather page says?

Quiet house here today. Geeze the loudest thing at the moment is the fan on the laptop. Tho the cat was making a heck of a racket out on the back porch a minute ago. We have our laundry supply bag between a cabinet and washer, no soap or softener in it for now just a net laundry bag and a hankie I use to cover my hair or as a do-rag. Dang cat jumped into the bag and couldn't get out. Oh goodness what a wicked racket!!! It's a kind of vinyl material with handle straps from Trader Joe's. It not only made a racket but the cat was yowling to beat the band!    Pussy cat was not amused when I finally got her out of it. But I sure the he77 was. Got to laughing so hard had tears in my eyes.

David is off to work, Kelly has gone to the movies to see "New Moon" and I have no idea where Jenny and Conner are. Probably at her Mom's.

I am gonna go take a nice hot shower and then tick Shade off completely by giving her a good brushing and then (horrors!) a bath. She will pout and look at me in reproach for most of the day. ;)

Hope everyone has a great Saturday!!! Be safe.

Love to all

Just squeaking under the bell here as it's 11 AM on the west coast.
Rainy morning but nothing out of the ordinary for us.
I was to have both my youngest GDs overnight but the older of the two decided to ask her girlfriend for an overnighter so she stayed home. No biggie as I love having one on one time. So much easier not having to divide my attention and more fun. Last night we played on the Wii, but found my second controller is acting up, so first thing this morning we were off to the store to replace it. That took an hour as we had to visit all the Christmas decorations and toys. I didn't mind one bit, though, and I did get some good ideas of what to get her for Christmas. :D
I'll have Amanda again tonight and perhaps her sister will decided she wants to come over, too. I think their dad, my SIL, is wanting to fly to Vegas for a poker tournment anyway. He was 6th of 116 last weekend and ended up with $500. He loves his poker but is good about it not taking over his life or finances.
My DD is in CA visiting my DIL (her SIL). They are doing Napa Valley wineries etc and having a ball! It's good for my DIL as my son has been away doing combat duty. He's to return at the end of Dec., God willing and my fingers crossed!
Breakfast is long past. Oh, I tried the Batter Blaster pancakes in a can. One word. YUCK!! I'll stick with making them with low fat Bisquick.
Have a blessed day, everyone!

I hardly ever make it in the morning. Good afternoon all.

Been busy following Liz's lead and cleaning, de-cluttering and getting rid of the stuff in my back bedroom. The garage is finished, YIPEE. It is the craft/junk room. I've bagged up so much craft stuff and will contact the children's hospital to see what they can use and the local day care center. I was really ruthless and only kept some painting supplies and some gourds. Thanks to Liz for getting me off my butt.

Soos, I've been having the same problem with my 15 yr. old puppy. I don't know about depends for cats, but I have been using infant size diapers for Sandy. I just cut a hole for the tail and they stay on her all night. If they aren't used, I use it again the next night, just adding more tape. Sure beats constantly washing the bed linens.

That's all for now. Safe travels to all traveling near or far. Linda

Left my mom's in San Diego this morning after a week, and just pulled into my spot in Blythe. My MH was just fine, didn't miss me TOO much. But darn, I thought Charles was going to wash it while he camped here last week. Gotta see what's going on with that guy. Just missed seeing him, I guess.

Ready to nuke the last Chile Rellano Tamale from the Farmer's Market for lunch. Really good. My mom and I had the rest for dinner last night.

It sure is easier to travel in the RV than having to pack up a suitcase, etc, making sure not to forget anything. Need to unpack, then will eat that tamale and just hang around for the rest of the day, waiting for the sunset. I enjoyed being in San Diego again, but after almost a year away, it took a long time to get used to the crowds and the traffic again.

As usual, beautiful weather. I even took a few pictures driving through the Glamis Dunes - couldn't pull over to take them, so just held the camera up and pushed the button. Will check in a bit to see if any turned out.

Since I have nothing to do this weekend...it seems weird that football season is over...and we are in between things.

I know you are all sitting there in shock that I actually have no place to run to this weekend.

So I am working on getting my scrapbook stuff organized and all up stairs in the dining room..not that it is ever used for a dining room. Since oldest Ds moved back in...he took my craft room. So I really want to scrapbook..that is my winter hobby. I needed to get it all moved up stairs. So by I should have that all done by today and then can start working on scrapbooking.
