Glad you found something to replace the egg. It looks really nice. I bet Karen gave you some good ideas to make it your own.

Did I see the egg at the Las Cruces KOA?

Love your new home on wheels. I had the separate shower and liked that plan. Really like the bunk beds-even if you didn't need all that sleeping area, you can always put in some type of storage if you needed to. Congrats and Escapees is a great group. Think Jenny is a member-Hmmm, haven't heard from her in awhile.

What a different home you'll have on the beach this time :) That's about the maximum length I'd want - looked at a neat 28 footer the other day - just cuz it was there. We're always looking, aren't we? But wow - what a difference from the egg. And I know you liked it. This will be so much more comfortable for living in, I would think. (Yes, I'm partial to Class C's).

Can't wait to see her or him - whichever you decide.

Linda, OutandAbout, Right now I intend to use one top bunk bed to place things on that I don't want to rocket arond while driving and the other to hold my wind bird and hummingbird and other bird stuff. I'll leave the cab over queen like it is but use the small storage as a spot for my printer.

Mitch, I have read 6 pages of the manual and the freaking tanks hold 37 gallons. That is fresh, black, grey, and believe it or not hot water :!: Now I can empty the black and grey and carry 1/4 tank in the fresh, but I am stuck with 37 gallons in the h/w tank and that's a bummer at 8.3 or 8.5 per gallon. Also manual says it is 30 feet even though it is a Model 29V. I kind of associate model numbers with length but apparently it ain't necessarily so. The cab has a queen bed and the evil machine (TV) and a spot I'll use for my printer.

Linda, Rufflesgurl, Yep I can have friends over. Already have a girls birding party planned for January.

Ah, Soos, you just got all those neat things completed on your truck. You will be enjoying that before long. Winter just started, but it won't be here too much longer and you will be out of school and out of 'jail'. You will love it. It's just days away. Then it is for the rest of your life!

Bethers, I'll be able to boondock on the beach.....Haven't done that yet, so that will be a new experience, too!

I am really enjoying the RVers Boot Camp. Have learned a lot and still have tire safety for tomorrow along with open questions. Lots of things to think about and practice. It has been fun and informational.

Thank you all for being so excited with me about my new home. I know that many of us will meet on down the road.

I kind of doubt you have a 37 gallon water heater. They are usually 6 or 10 gallon. I have had 4 class c motorhomes and the water heaters have all been 6 gallon.

I wish I had some of the storage you have. My 23' only has one outside compartment that holds the cords, hoses and 2 chairs. Inside I only have one small closet. Of course, the more room I have the more I haul around. I still have 2 big plastic containers with stuff from the last trade.

I like the pull down "table" thing on the sofa with drink holders and the drink holders built into the dinette.

Super nice Birdie! Bet you really enjoy it. I've always found to determine the number of people a rig sleeps is to take the number that the company says it will sleep divide it by 2 and add 1! Our 28'TT said it would sleep 8...and it could do 5 comfortably if the person in the pulldown bunk was under five years old. Our 5er says 4 but I'd sure hate to be one of the two people who was suppose to sleep on the jackknife couch. While I like our table and chairs during the day I certainly miss the dinette to use as an extra bed.
My mind works like lightning...one brilliant flash and it's gone.
