Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Thor's Day

I can't believe I'm first on line. Where is everybody. I've had two cups of Irish Breakfast Tea and two candies. That's first breakfast. Then wait for Beth to get up and have second breakfast. Have a cuppa folks!

Morning,

I hear rain pattering on the roof already. Gonna be a soggy commute for morning workers and school kids.

This morning at 8 I have my monthly Thurs. AM Coffee meeting at my finance guy, Larry's, office. He offers coffee/sweets and goes over what the finance world is up to. Mostly I go to socialize. I do have to say that Larry is very good at smoozing us. In Aug. he throws a bbq and has a live band. Last month he rented the movie theater and after a short film on finances we saw The Bucket List movie. In Sept. we had a wonderful meal catered at a winery. Next month is another winery function but with wine and appetizers.

At noon I'm off to my DD's as she and my SIL left for Las Vegas this morning for a couple days, and my SIL's mother is here from AZ babysitting. Us two grandmas are having a 'baking' day with the two GDs, ages 7 & 9. Should be fun!

Have a super day, everyone. Prayers for those hurting and in need. God knows who you are.

I'd rather have a cuppa tea, thanks! Raining here in the Northeast. Really dreary kind of day. But, I guess we have to have a couple of them every now and then. Hope everyone has a great day.

Good Morning! We are checking out of the room today and going to pick up the rv. We went by and saw it yesterday, LOVED the lift, Ronnie's excited. They were still finishing up some of the trim and wiring so they said it would be ready today around noon. We will stay nearby for tonight for a test run and make sure everything works for us. Pics to follow when I can! Have a great day everyone!

Lenore, I would question my "finance" guy spending so much money on entertaining clients. I would be looking at my statements really hard. Remember that most brokers make their money on the buying and selling NOT the leaving the money alone to keep working.

Its sunny and cool here in Kerrville and I don't have any more company (boo hoo). Am starting to work on the trip route for Diana and me to Florida. We're gonna take Hwy 84 to avoid all the big city traffic - looks like it will take us a little longer but be much prettier and less stressful.

Good morning All

Another sunny day but with a strong north wind - feels down right cold tho the temps do not indicate such. A very large hawk hanging around here this morning. Landed on the ground a couple of times. He's probably hunting but may just be tired of fighting that wind.

I seem to be getting covered up in paper that is somehow multiplying every time I look away. Think some portion of today will be devoted to getting rid of whatever I can and making an attempt at organizing what has to stay. Sounds like a dull day.

Hope you have an interesting, safe day planned.

Good Morning to All or maybe I should say Good Afternoon. It's a cold (to us) cool to some of you 40 degrees out. But sunny. The satellite installer is supposed to coming back into town sometime today and he promised to get to us tomorrow. I will believe it when we see him and the darn thing is working.
Oh well I have wanted to see the little town all dressed up for the holidays and Friday night, tomorrow, they light the lights - so guess I'll get to see them this year. Just checked and a couple of the campgrounds we had planned on staying at are already closed for the season - may end up at Wallys yet. We are living half out of Jennie and half out of the house. Don't want to unload her for a few days.
Hope those of you in Ida's path in the northeast are hunkered in and don't have too many problems from her.

GOOD MORNING/AFTERNOON SISTAHS!!! :D

I am sitting at David's house online. We cheated and reactivated the Sprint aircard so that we would have internet. We actually did it while driving on the way home. But we stopped last night at the Sprint store and checked to see if our plan allowed picture mail? Nope. Bummer! But while there checked to see if the new plan we changed to was what we were told? Yep, and then found out that we couldn't activate the 'old' aircard that we had to have a new one. :o It worked out good tho!!!! Got new "FREE" '3-g' card as an upgrade and they also waived the activation fee!! :D Very happy Echo and Kelly!!! ;) We are going to try to get David's internet satellite hooked up and online tho. That way we all can be online instead of one at a time. I also found a new phone that I liked? I've been keeping watch but haven't liked any that they have had lately. This one I like but decided to hold off and think about it first. It would have been a free upgrade and I've been due one for over a year. I really like the phone I have tho cause it rings loudly and talks to me. I actually tells me the name of who's calling as long as I have them in my contacts list. I hear who it is and can make the decision to get up and answer it or not.

Jenny just nicely came out of the bedroom to go potty and Conner then started crying. Didn't dare go get him. I figure she's up and out cause she is having her Mom come over to pick her up??? If that is what she is gonna do? As soon as she leaves I will start cleaning and then give Shade a bath. Hope I get a chance to hold Conner before she goes anywhere!!!! Kelly actually had the chance to hold him for a little while last night. It was so funny!!! She got him in her arms and her face just melted. ;) I know he is my grandson but I do have to say he is a beautiful baby. Finely developed delicate features and a head of dark hair. No blemishes and all ten fingers and toes. Good grief the boy has long fingers and toes!! Probably gonna be a little monkey like his father was!! ? Like his father still is!

Ok been swilling coffee and it's time to go potty and check out some other postings! Hope ya'll have a simply great day.

Love to all

Echo, you must be in 7th heaven with your grandson. Enjoy him.

Today will be another day in the low 70s and sunny. Someone has to have ideal weather now and again and glad it's our turn :P . All those in Ida's path stay dry.

My poor little Cooper had such a tramatic experience this AM. She is such a drama queen and is milking it for what she can get out of it. Today is garbage day. I put the garbage out and then took some boxes and other things, that they don't pick up at the house, down to the curb . On the way back to the house, I watched her at the window. Now you would think that I was away for a month the way she carried on, all the crying and high pitched barking. I was closing the garage door and watching it close, sometimes it goes back up again, and when I turned to go in the house, Cooper must have snuck into the garage. Long story short, about 1 and 1/2 hrs later I hear this barking. It sounded like it was coming from the front of the house. I looked but didn't see anything. Then I did a head count, 1 MIA. I looked in the backyard, around the garage in the back and all over the house. While outside, I was calling her name when near the garage and the other dogs kept looking at the door (the one to the backyard from the garage). Clueless me didn't get it  and kept looking for her. Finally, after hearing her bark/cry again I realized I didn't look in the garage. Opened the door and this little brown fuzzy thing ran right by me. Now I am being ignored completely and getting "the look" every time I go near her. Oh the life of a drama queen. :(

Have no plans for the rest of the day, except making up with Cooper, so will read the forum and do some laundry. Stay safe everyone.

PS. Vickie, great news on the lift. Sounds like you will be happy with it. Looking forward to the pictures and hearing all about it.

I've been watching for the "Lift is done" post.....you two have searched and waited long enough to find this and get it installed :) :) :) Can't wait to see the finished project and hear about Ronnie's escapades with new found freedom  Next gtg we may have to supervise him instead of him keeping US in line!......

Last I heard, door was all done and Vickie and Ronnie were going today to check it out and receive operating instructions. Vickie was so excited. She said Ronnie was, too. They were going to try and camp tonight not very far away in case anything didn't work properly. No word today but one quick PM this morning.

I'm so excited for her and can't wait for pictures. See, if she doesn't have to do quite so much schlepping Ronnie in and out, that will give me more time to pick on her...I'm just sayin'...

Karen,
All the finance smoozing in done through the Edward Jones company. So, yah, probably inadvertently the shareholders pay for it, as with any of our financial instutions who advertise. We are to always asked to bring guests so I'm not blind to what their bottom line is.
