So it's my turn... although I'm loving it... and I'll give them a some what tour of my area.. which by the way is not real big.. I mean I live in a very nice country club and the "Villages" are next road over... but we'll do kind of day things..and most of all I'll hear the news from our village .. on what's the latest...Now ya know I just love all that GOSSIP...aaaaah and perhaps share a few recipes.. Not too bad :)

Ok... I see my darling critters rolling their eyes..and perhaps we'll make a pit stop between rain drops...and then I'm color me GONE...

Good morning Barbzeee and all you others too!

Love the gold speckled cat, Barbzeee. Wow....imported guests coming. That's a special visit. I know you'll enjoy catching up on doings in the "old" country.

I'll be driving to Dade City (1 1/2 hrs away) today to give dd support at school conference for gs. Hope the rain holds off 'til I get back, but expect I'll be driving in it.

Have a meeting at 6 p.m. at Silver River State Park....lady I met there last week wants me to become a volunteer. Hmmm, and I'm trying to simplify my life. While there, I'll scope out a site for Mitch & her Sweetie for the gtg. Wow, it keeps growing...taking on a life of its own. Vickie, are you and dh going to try out that new lift? :)

Ok, that's my day's plans. It's a day the Lord has made, and I will rejoice and be glad in it....why do anything else?

I'm going to go out in about an hour and watch the sun rise over the desert and mountains in this beautiful place. I brought home-made muffins from my friends in Tucson to share with Beth and Jean this morning and will just see how the morning unfolds. Perhaps I'll figure out some kind of small something to do to say goodbye to my ten-year relationship with Lou. Kind of a bittersweet time.

Good Morning To All - so glad to see your post this a.m. Barb - love the kitty.
Well we are still here in Nashville, Indiana - still waiting for the satellite on the RV to be fixed and up in running order. Right now it is UP - stuck UP so can't drive anywhere. We are supposed to hear from the installer this afternoon - he is still in Florida but is supposed to be back in town Thursday. Hopefully by this weekend we'll be on the road. It's not like we have to be anywhere by a certain time. Just hope we make it out before it snows.
Last few days we've been having Indian Summer - real nice.

Morning! Coffee is always good first thing! I added to that a multi-grain English muffin, toasted in my toaster oven, which I'm still loving! :D

Carol, gosh, it seems like forever you've been trying to hit the road! ;) Glad you are enjoying some Indian Summer weather, though.

Vickie, look forward to seeing the end result of Hommie's new lift. Keep safe and dry in the meantime.
Liz, you wear me out. How many clubs/organizations do you have your fingers in?
Barbzeee, the graphic this morning was a good one! Love the kitty and real nice having you set your table for us again. Have fun with the relatives and will keep checking for new recipes.

I'll stop by my bank this morning. Everything I thought I'd straightened out last Friday hasn't happened so I'll go do their jobs, yet again. The other banks here in my town are all 'take over' ones, too, and are going through upheavels of their own so I don't want to try switching banks at this point.

AFter that I'll go bowl. The teams are made up of 3 people and we started out one short. She hurt her back last year in an accident so decided not to come back, and my other teammate is gone on vacation until after Thanksgiving, so it's just me. Afterward I'll go exercise Little Missy's generator. I didn't get out to do that the other day.

Today we are getting a little break from the rain, but it's coming back tomorrow with a vengence.
Everyone, have a blessed day! :D

Good Morning All! We are fine here in Pensacola. There was a light rain the entire day yesterday, but not anything heavy like I expected. I made a grocery run yesterday afternoon and picked up some things that I could fix in case of power outages and even a few things that I could use in the tiny room microwave and truck inverter, if necessary. Last night we had some wind gusts, but again nothing major and we are on the west side of the hotel so we were more protected. Electricity flashed off for about 30 seconds around 8pm and we thought, here we go, but it came back and that was it. We may or may not get out and check on the lift progress today, we'll wait and see what happens or what we feel like doing.

I'm going to read posts now and see what kind of mischievous things people have been up to, LOL. Have a good day everyone and enjoy your visits, travels and loved ones.

Good morning. I'm finally home after being gone for 6 months in my RV. Everything was fine when I got home except my car battery was dead and the refrigerator won't cool. The car is okay, now. I turned off the refrigerator because I was going to be gone for so long. Maybe I should have just emptied it and left it running. Anyway, I've never had to have a refigerator repaired before. I guess I'll have to get some of those dry food dinners to microwave. I don't like to eat out that much as I'm alone. I'm glad I didn't go food shopping on the way home.

I love the cat, it reminds me of Snickers, one of our cats. She is a calico, black with specks of orange. The waitresses at one of the diners in town talked my DH into bringing her home. She was hanging around the diner and they were afraid the owner was going have her picked up.

Glad Ida made it onshore without much damage. Looks like some places are going to get a lot of rain. For some reason they were talking about coastal flooding here but I didn't see any. We are so far south that some of the ditches rise with the tide. If there is a high tide, a strong south wind and a lot of rain it can cause some flooding.

Don't have any plans for today. I want a few things from the grocery store but I try not to go to town everyday so will wait until my list gets longer.
