TEEN-TEMP SATURDAY

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

TEEN-TEMP SATURDAY

GOOD MORNING TO ALL!

It's 19 degrees out there and looks as if it might be clear today. Most of our snow is gone, but it's still pretty on the trees. I am looking forward to getting a lot more of the white stuff now, so I can ski and enjoy it. I would really like to get my trailer back here first, but if not, oh well.

Although I am looking forward to some snow to play in, I am envious of those warm, beckoning campgrounds!

Today I have nothing planned, other than building a wood fire, checking on my fuel oil level out in the tank, taking a long walk, and perhaps tackling a single room to 'clear out stuff'---or not!

Hope you all have a fun day, and that you check in to let us know what's going on in your life!
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

Morning all. Soos, I'm one of those that will be enjoying one of those warm, but not humid days; although that picture makes me a little envious. We tried skiing once. You had to hold onto a rope that moved you up the hill and when you got to the top you were supposed to let go, turn around and ski down. My tGM, who is not the most athletic, couldn't get turned around and he went down backwards taking some of the other skiiers with him   Suffice it to say, he was asked to please not ski anymore.
The place we're staying this winter had a poolside bash last night with a great band, playing all the oldies. And, all the oldies were dancing up a storm  I sure did get a workout and can probably stay out of the gym for at least a week  Today we are visiting my MIL and taking her out for a walk in the park and lunch. My tGM goes in 2 or 3 times a week to see her and I go in at least once with him. The only negative is that she is almost 100 miles from here (her daughter is right there), so we are putting a lot of miles on our car. Well, time to get ready and hit the road. Hope all goes well for everyone and their family and friends today. There's a lot of reminders out there that we need to be thankful of each moment. carold

Good morning, everyone!

Soos, that picture if really nice, but I'm sure not ready for snow. You just keep it up there! :D

Please don't think I have lost my Yankee mind, but guess what's for breakfast here in at The Blue Marlin in NW TN?

I'm gonna guess no one got it right - hog jowl! That's right, ladies, this Yankee is fryin' up a mess of hog jowl to go with scrambled eggs and french toast. Not your typical northern breakfast, is it? Anyone out there agree that hog jowl is actually quite delicious??? This is a recently discovered taste sensation in this household...bought my first package about 5 days ago...

Well, everyone have a great day. Vickie's on her way to get the lift installed. Image She said she's hoping to never have to use that winch again!
Hmmmm, she's going to be reading this, so I guess I should say something mean. Naw, too early to be mean.

Coffee is good but I'll pass on breakfast as I plan on eating a little something at

Off to check the posts and then get started on my chores. Have a great day and

I am so excited to see what Vickie and Hommie end up with and how it will work for them! Should really increase the amount of time Hommie will get out and be able to supervise us better.....especially Mitch! Oh, Ava, the work will always be there....go play! Everyone have a good day! The Baby Bus got a going over by the Mobile RV guy that I found (through recommendation of the local campground) All systems were checked out and the roof looked at.... a couple of spots on the seams were taken care of.....see Shirlv, I was paying attention! Dogs have eaten....and Herschel is ready to head out to visit his friends......

Everybody have a fun, safe, weather just what you want sort of day!

GOOD MORNING SISTAHS!!!!

Kelly and I are in Tucumcari NM. As soon as she gets out of the shower and we get some oil for the Blazer we are heading east on I 40 again and going to TN. We talked it over a little bit and made what you would call a spur of the moment decision to head home. I want to see my new GS and hold him. We are going to be pushing to get home in TN by Sunday evening. My drivers license expires at midnight Sunday night so will have to be there for Monday morning to be at the DMV first thing in the morning and get it renewed. ;) We are both over the moon excited. David and Jenny have no idea what so ever that we are on the way. What a shocker it will be for them!!!! Can hardly wait to see the look on David's face!

I was gonna add to the coffee this morn but the motel we are in only has a coffee pot that makes one lousy cup at a time. Little cups too! What an insult!!! Bah!!! There's a Denny's Restaurant almost next door so I think we will grab a quick breakfast, get oil and hit the road.

Hope everyone is doing great, staying safe and enjoying themselves!!!! Will hopefully yak at ya'll later!!!

Love to all

Echo, I'm excited for you two to get to TN and see that new baby. Praying traveling mercies for you both.

Mitch, will you be eating out by the 'cement pond' on the 'fancy eatin' table'' ? LOL I'm assuming hog jowl is like bacon? When I was younger we slaughtered pigs on the farm and I remember my Mom rendering fat for what seemed like days!! I loved to eat the kracklings. Kinda like todays bacon rinds.

Our weather here, inland, hasn't been too bad, but the coast is getting hammered. 30 ft waves reported. A group of people on their hotel balconey got swept out to sea when the balconey collapsed. All were fortunately saved, cinging to rocks!

My full-time RV friend is in town this week. She has her sister with her and they both have jobs in AZ (she's working as a hostess at a restaurant at Q) for the winter and will be leaving next Thursday.

After my workout yesterday I planned on just laying around in my jammies watching TV the rest of the day. That was until I went online and checked my bank accounts. I found a $20 charge on my savings so had to get dressed and drive up to the bank and straighten them out. (This is the third time they've screwed up since Chase took over my old bank (Washington Mutual)). They had my savings in an account type that said I needed to keep the balance over $15,000 to avoid service charges. WHAT!?! I've never had close to that amount in that account when I opened it! Then the guy that helped me was on his 'first day on the job'. He kept having to ask another worker how to do some stuff. He then tells me the changes he made won't take efffect until Monday and he is off on Monday so won't be able to check and see if it gets done. So he left a note for another worker to see to it. ;) So I'll have to police the account to make sure I get reimbursed and not charged again in the future. Does anyone else get exhausted doing everyone elses jobs!?!

So, TODAY I plan on doing the 'jammy' thing, watching TV and eating while lounging on the couch. Life IS good.

Have a super weekend, ladies!

Good morning all!
Soos, I love the photo. However, like Mitch, I prefer enjoying the snow from a great distance.
Went back to doctor Thursday for recheck on hand damaged in my recent less than graceful encounter with mother earth. It is improving nicely. In fact it had quit hurting much until doctor poked around on it. I have a less restrictive support on it now - a great help. The 2 middle fingers still not working but just regaining use of index finger and thumb have allowed me to get some use of the hand and goes a long way toward making life a bit easier.
Echo - so glad you are going to get to see that new grandson.
Vickie - Hope you get lift in with no problems and that you get to enjoy some good weather along the beach.
We have finally had a near perfect fall weather week here and that is continuing thru the weekend.
Mitch - Yes, I love crispy hog jowl. Also don't forget now that you are cooking more southern style, black eyed peas, hog jowl, and turnip greens are required fair on New Years day.
I'm looking forward to the photos from Ava, Beth and Sparkle. Know that will be a great visit for all of you.
The morning has almost completely slipped away and I've accomplished nothing so far. I have mastered the art of putting off until whenever very quickly. Must now try to overcome that lazy attitude.
Hope you have a great day.

Good afternoon!

Up early this a.m.... did housework, vacuumed, etc. Then took several bags of garbage to dump, then to vet's to pick up Jen, but she wasn't quite ready. I'll go back between 3 and 4 p.m. to bring her home. After the vet's I went with Kath to a guinea pig breeder to get a new one for her 5th grade classroom. she picked out a beautiful little long-haired girl..buterscotch and white colored. Back to kath's house to settle new piggie in her cage, and then back here for lunch. Whew.. I'm tired just typing it all!

OK,.. back at it here,.. time to do laundry. Typical Saturday for a working gal!

have a great day, everyone!

Lenora: There must be more than one bank down there. I would change if they are making mistakes like that.
