Tuesday...make it terrific

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Tuesday...make it terrific

Postby Liz » Tue Oct 20, 2009 6:33 am

Good morning ladies!

I'll have a stretch to make my day terrific.... I'm off to the drs. 3 appts. today, starting with dentist, then cardiologist, and finally a hearing aid/ear checkup. Plan to stop at the eye dr. and get my new glasses frame adjusted too as they are irritating the bridge of my nose. I have more dr. apts later this week and one next week. I bunch them all together in Oct. and April, so I don't have to hang around if I don't want to waiting for drs. appts.

Hope everyone else has a super terrific day. Temps expected back in the high 70's here today.

Morning Liz and Ladies. Liz, sounds like a good idea but I'll bet ya feel thoroughly poked and prodded by the time October and April are over!

Hope everyone has a great day. I pick son #2 up at the airport this afternoon. He's back for a couple of days to pick up his car and then will head back to Chicago. GD is away at a school educational program where they stay overnight for 4 days/3 nights. It's an environmental kinda camp/school with dorms and lots of counselors, etc.

Weather is supposed to warm up a tad here today too...may make it to 70 degrees. The colors are sure looking good on the trees but it won't be long and I'll be cussin' those leaves as I have to clean them up!

Paulette sounds like you have a busy schedule too ..and hey, not bad for O.. and a time for you to put feet up and set back watch some good movies..:)

Today for me is gonna be hectic... Girlfriend (Mary from Md) is coming over and she and another friend also (Eileen) will print out their boarding pass then have early dinner with me then pack and head down first thing tomorrow AM...goodness time sure does fly... I'll see them both again in around March..

I made a Marble cake with some Orange Zest and good ole Milk Chocolate icing for desert..but for dinner I'm doing simple.. Fried Ham and Cabbage and Mashed..with side of applesauce.. uh oh I'm getting hungry.. LOL.. Even have pan of corn bread ready...

Of course I'm still putting things away and throwing out old stuff.. you know the cabinets...never ending..and yep I bought some more Lock and Lock to store all goods in... I'm becoming plastic..omg... LOL have to make sure I don't watch any more QVC ..I go through with drawls..

Again want to thank everyone that has been PMing me regarding Lori and Ernie... I know they will feel the love coming from you all .. and as I talk with Ernie in the evening I certainly let him know.. Lori is holding up pretty good..well as good as can be expected.. Tomorrow is the funeral service..just please say a pray for all...

May you all have a great day and if ya get a wild hair and wanna come visit.. you are all welcomed...

God Bless

Hey, Zeee!!
What a comfort to have you back at your table keeping us in line! :D

As to the weather here in the PNW, it's been strange. We really haven't had a hard frost and only a couple light ones, but the leaves are about gone on some trees and only starting to turn on others. I've never noticed that happening before.
We are also in our Fall/rain every other day/gray drizzily pattern. Looks like I'm going to have to go get Little Missy winterized here before long. I went out to visit her yesterday. Played with my new flatscreen TV. Got 3 excellent channels and didn't even put up the antenna! I also played with the DVD player to make sure I knew how that would work with the new TV. That was as easy as pushing a button on the side of the TV!!! Wow, I'm all for a one button fix!!
I then got some ideas on how to make/install a privacy curtain. I'm thinking a tension rod just behind the front seats is the best option. Too much trouble to figure out how to make a curtain fit the area along the shelf under the entertainment center as it's got a curve and the walls are also curved and covered with fabric.

Last night I started getting a cough, then my sinuses started stuffing up and I thought, Oh, oh! Still about the same this morning so I'm carrying on as normal and going to go bowl here in a bit.

That's it for me!! Everyone out traveling, be safe!! Continued prayers for Lori and her family. Just breaks my heart.
Hugs!

I got back from dr. appt. and also had some blood drawn for a different appt. next week. Then trip to pharmacy,... race to school to pick up grandson (youngest) to take him to the Youth Commission's "biddy soccer" practice,.... got there 5 min. late and Kath had already put him on a bus to go .... that was fine. She'd checked with his mom first. They thought I was really running late. Helps to have a Grandma and Grandma's best friend both working in the same school as the kids.

I stopped by my dealer's.... Little Girl 3 should arrive in about 5 weeks. If we haven't got a tow vehicle lined up by then they will bring it to me. Yeeehaw! I'll be trading after the first of the year and getting a tow vehicle. Kath may or may not get one too. We were hoping to each have one.

Think I'll put my feet up and just relax now for a while. Seems odd to be posting for morning coffee at 5:30 in the evening. Life's just a bit crazy around here!

HELLO SISTAHS!!!

Hope everyone's day has been just fine? My day hasn't gone to badly, I just nicely punched out. Doing dishes in the kitchen isn't to awful. I might find that I like it just fine. Doing some extra cleaning in the kitchen as the chief cook, bottle washer, pastry chef and 1/2 owner says it's time for "Fall Cleaning". Hmmmmm? I've been clearing off and scrubbing shelves. And scrubbing anything on the shelves that haven't been used for awhile and needs it. HOLY SMOKES ya'll should'a seen me on my belly crawling around to get the back corner of those below the waist shelves. GROAN, GRUNT!! Getting back up off that floor and onto my feel was even harder work to do. I am so glad that no one came into the kitchen while my big butt was poked up in the air!! Will have to mention to Beth that we need an 'old fat worn out smiley'! That would be me for sure!

Snowed here again today. Wow! Those were some big fat fluffy flakes. Snowed hard for about 15 minutes or so and we had what looked to be 1/2" of snow. Snowed hard enough that I could barely see the store across the road. Had it kept up for even an hour we would have had SOME snow on the ground. It was the southerners type of snow tho. It's almost totally gone. All melted and now things are all soggy.

One of the other housekeepers was suppose to do dishes today. I had asked already about switching and he didn't want to switch. But when he over heard me mention that there was 'extra' cleaning going on??? That did that!   He had Kelly tell me that I could go ahead and stay with dishes and he would work with her! Isn't that just like a man? ;)

Ok I'm gonna go check some postings and my email of course. So will be yakking some other time.

Love to all
