Sunny Sunday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Sunny Sunday

Postby VickieP » Sun Oct 18, 2009 9:45 am

Good Sunday Morning to All! It's a beautiful sunny 53degrees here this morning, 48 when I woke up. Yesterday was sunny, 70 and simply beautiful, so I opened the windows and got some fresh air in and will probably do the same today. Definitely Fall weather here. Well I finally finished my 9 loads of laundry from the trip and we will try to move the truck and rv today since the ground has dried out some and before the rain chances are back on Wednesday.

Prayers are still up for Lori and her family, hopefully we will have an update today from Zeee.

Everyone out there that are traveling, please be safe and have a good trip.

I've got fresh satsumas off the tree, cereal, sausage, biscuits & eggs or pancakes or waffles batter ready to go. There's coffee, OJ and Pepsi too! Come sit a spell and tell us about what's going on in your life.

This house feels so quiet now that Kath and the dogs have returned to their own home. I'm doing laundry and will vacuum and try to get the last of the camper stuff organized and packed for storage. This morning Kath has decided against the Mountaineer, no confirmation that it has a tow package. At only 6 cyl 4.0 it might not be quite enough for the job, even for the mini lite. We have planned on each having a vehicle that can tow the camper. Or as it is now the future camper. The price was quite high for a vehicle that was marginal for performance.

But overall we are doing great, outlook is improving every day. :D

I hope each of you will have a wonderful day!

good morning good morning
thanks for breakfast Vicki, but whats a satsuma? never heard of that, so guess I'll
just have to go do some googling.
We've been having a heatwave for the last couple days, 100 this time of year is
considered a heatwave  funny when we deal with it all summer long and once
it drops down into the 80's now its a heatwave
Had to run my ac all day yesterday, made my electric usage well over $3 for the
day. Not good for my budget!
So I'm catching up on laundry too and its time to wipe down the dust in the bedroom
as I noticed it bothering my sinuses last night. This town is just so dusty and since
an rv really isn't that air tight, it just makes it way in here. It would be nice to have
a little rain. My prediction is....we will get some rain when my friends get back from
Maine, where they spent all summer and are now on their way home. They were in
Arkansas yesterday and she said they were still COLD and couldn't wait to get home
to warm up. I told her she would warm up about the time she got into Texas. Soon
as she gets here its gonna rain! and I can say she brought it with her
Have a great day and be safe

Sounds just like the clementines you can get around here, and up north in the fall and winter - no seeds, thin skin that is really easy to peel...I can eat practically an entire crate in one sitting! I'll look around for your satsuma, but I've never seen it in stores before.

Well morning is pretty well gone but we too finally have some sunshine. Good to see the sun again after so much rain. No warmth in it; we are 25 degrees below normal. I cannot remember the last time I turned on the heat before Halloween, but it went on last night.
I have a few errands to do but not sure I even want to go out side. Perhaps if I just get moving it will feel warmer.
Wishing you have a safe and warn day.

Morning is long gone but I wish I had one of your Satsumas Vickie they look really good, never seen them up here.

We too are having a lovely sunny day, cool but sunny and our temps have been running 20 degrees cooler than normal. I've really missed having a nice moderate fall. Oh well supposed to reach 70 maybe next week for a couple of days before the rain starts in again. I've been busy all day, starting with giving Winnie a bath, and she was very good thankfully.

We're having a neighborhood block party this afternoon and I baked Lenora's Devil's Food Cake & pumpkin recipe and melted a bar of nice chocolate on top. So easy except for stirring it up but worth it!

HELLO SISTAHS!!!

Yep late again. No breakfast for me but I do have a cup of coffee sitting in front of me. Does that still count?

Weather yesterday and today has been perfect!!! Cool, nice warm sun and breezy. Couldn't be any better for Fall. Cook says it's suppose to get cold tomorrow with a chance of SNOW! EEK!!! I have got to get off my duff and dig out my hiking boots!!! They have the New England Pats game on right now and it's snowing there for sure. They had to go out and ? shovel off the lines on the field. LOL

Today was my first day in the kitchen doing dishes. Housekeeping has been cut to about nothing. We now only have 9 rooms open. Out of those 9 rooms, 8 of them have 2 double beds apiece and one is a log cabin deal with 5 beds, 1 queen, 2 double beds and 2 singles. No one like to get assigned to clean that place. GADS! :x I requested the job of morning dishes for next season and as far as I know the job is mine. So I'll be jumping back and forth between dishes and housekeeping till the end of the season. That kitchen gets so freaking hot that next season I will probably sweat off 20lbs or more. But I have that to spare and then some!! Hmmmm? Maybe I should try that green bean diet? Poor Kelly!!!!!

I'm sorta stuck in the lodge for now. ;) I usually use the Blazer to carry all my linens and cleaning stuff when I do rooms but Kelly is using it today. She must have gotten bit by a cleaning bug cause she is out to the linen shed cleaning and detailing the Blazer. It really needed to be hoed out too, it was almost to the shoveling stage!!! I'm glad she's doing it cause I hate to clean out cars. hehehehe

Ok enough flapping my fingers for now. I am gonna check out some more postings and then I'll have time to simply play and surf! YeHaw!

Love to all
