Wednesday Morning!

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Wednesday Morning!

Postby Cedar518 » Wed Oct 07, 2009 5:07 am

good morning sisters...... hey... it's over the hump day!

I can't tell if it's raining here or not, ... this house is so well insulated, especially since the new windows last year. But I could see the treetops moving in the wind in the waning moonlit sky.

Today is another routine day for me,... usual school duties, then a quick hour in the tax office processing more checks, than off to my granddaughter's soccer game. My daughter is at Cornell University for a conference so Em will depend on me for a ride home.

I'm over the worst of that cold I had but still have an occasional dry cough. I think I did get out of this one a little easier than usual.

So that's it for me,.... same ole, same ole...

Come on in, sit yourself down and enjoy some coffee and apple cider donuts! (didn't make those, local orchard sells them... yummmmm)

Have a great day, all...

Oh, I needed that coffee. Am pretty much settled into my home park. Had to take the rig for its annual safety inspection and also ended up getting two new front tires. The old ones had lots and lots of tread BUT were made in 2004 and were starting to get sidewall cracking. I'm pretty anal about the front tires - the thought of a blowout on the front scares the devil out of me.

I started out in my regular site but moved down the row to the other end to get away from noise from the icehouse that was right behind me. My new site is much nicer and has three small trees that are not tall enough to interfere with my satellite. They haven't started heating the indoor pool yet - damn!!

Now I can start planning on the Dec trip to the Gallup balloon festival. So far, there are 3, maybe 4, other ladies coming. Who else is brave enough to come in December to Gallup? Your Flamingo glasses are waiting.

Good morning all! I have a new 'netbook' computer...it wieghs just 2.4 pounds and fits nicely in my small backpack. Yesterday I reached the end of my patience with that darn aircard....I will continue to use it at home when absolutely necessary (no choice), but now I will bring my netbook with me whenever I come into town and THAT will mean I can actually POST to the forum without waiting and dropping...and well you know the drill!

It's a lovely fall day in the foothills. Preparing the yard for winter and a flu shot this afternoon are on the agenda. This week-end I am out of town so want to get as much finished this week as possible. The countdown to Texas is getting close, only a couple weeks.

Thanks to the public library for wi-fi! Byeeee

Dear ones

Texas if finally getting BEARABLE! Had a bit of rain and a mini norther. The temps are back in the 70's and somewhat humid. Looking f'ward to the NEXT norther to cool it down more. I think farther north of me it is cooler. At least i read where my DIL is complaining and she's south of LUBBOCK.. ha!

She has NO insulation (skinny) so the cold gets to her worse.

I see why ya;ll want to come down here in winter. I just wish I could go NORTH in summer! UG! ! :? SOMEDAY!

love ya'll!

Yesterday and today (so far) are just beautiful. Definitely worth waiting for weather around 70 ish and sunny. Finally got to open up the windows and allow fresh air in. Now the bad news, tomorrow and Friday we are expecting rain and a lot of it. 3-5 inches. The TN gtg should be getting some of this nice weather, but will also get the rain. More of the same going on here as well. Everyone enjoy your day. Linda

HELLO SISTAHS!!!

Brrrr, Brrrr, Brrrr and more Burrrr!!! I wish I still had my heavy winter coat. He77 the way it's going I might end up wishing I still had my snow boots! Yep ya read that right, snow boots. Heard some wild and wicked thunder sometime in the middle of the night. Woke my butt up out of a sound sleep too. Thought to myself that it must really be pouring outside? Hmmmm? Really kinda half asleep I thought 'hey it was awfully cold out, maybe it warmed up?' HA HA HA Nope it did not warm up. Got up at my normal time of 5:30am and after doing that first thing in the morning potty run I peeked out the sliding glass door. OMG, SNOW! :o We had a little more than 1/2" on the ground and it was still snowing. Warmed up a cup of coffee, grabbed my jacket, wrapped my blankies around me and out the door Shade and I went. Oh heavens Shade was so excited when she hit that snow! LOL She came to a dead stop and started sniffing then started bouncing around. Shade loves the snow and I do have to admit that it was beautiful out there this morning. It snowed off and on until about 3:30 this afternoon. Just in time for our work day to be over. ~sigh~ Had to deal with tracking slop into all the rooms that I clean and getting covered with snow every time I had to go out to the Blazer to get sheets or towels. The head housekeeper and her husband have the use of a buggy called a pro-hauler. They got so disgusted at getting covered with snow that they parked it, transferred all their linens and cleaning stuff over to their Jeep Cherokee.

Today is our Friday, we have the next two days off. Hooray!!! The best part is that now that it has snowed and it's all sloppy and mucky I wont have to deal with mopping the muck up off the rooms! hehehehe We are going to St George UT tomorrow as usual on payday. We are going to the huge thrift store to see if we can find heavier coats than what we have. For the past two days during work I have wore a t-shirt with a sweatshirt under my coat and have been cold. If we can find vests I think that just might work out too. Keep our fingers crossed at any rate.

OK, enough flapping my fingers. It's time to get the butt in gear and head up the hill to home. I am gonna go get comfy and veg out for the rest of the evening. ~sigh~ This place and job has turned me into an old woman. Maybe I need to find some young studly wudly to get me started on my second wind? No I better not, I'd probably hurt him!

Love to all
