I love your pictures and narative of your first campout in Little Missy!!! How neat that Chocko will become a lover of the RV as well as you!

Don't worry about those dang tank sensors---they never seem to read correctly, no matter how good you are in cleaning and dumping. Some day someone will invent a kind that will actually show what the status of the tanks is!!

Yurts are there to rent, I guess, yes? What do they cost, do you know? What does one need to bring along to stay in one? Are they like the KOA Kamping Kabins, and you need your own bedding, dishes, whatever?

Soos, there is a sensor that doesn't get mucked up. It goes on the outside of the tank. The aftermarket ones have a readout in one of your storage bays. Some of the really high end coaches come with them and you can read the levels in the coach. Not sure how much they are, tho, or where to get them. They use a sonic sensing device. We had to put a similar one in a sewage pit in the hospital that I worked in. The float that turned the pumps on would get screwed up, so we would have to pump it out, hose it down and then go down in the pit and fix the float. Did I mention that I loved my job? Now you know why it doesn't bother me to dump my holding tanks! At least I know where it came from!

There have been postings on how to flush out your tanks, but really I wouldn't worry about it. Being only one person it would take forever to fill your black tank. Your grey tank will fill faster with having showers. However, if your grey tank fills, all you will get is water in your bath tub. It happens to me all the time, that's when I empty it. But then I live a somewhat casual life.

Lenora, what a successful first trip. Glad Choco settled down and enjoyed the adventure. Now that he knows what's out there, he'll be just fine. Tanks for sharing your pics, it really looks like a great CG. Don't worry about the sensors. Get in touch with the mfg of Little Missy. They will tell you the tank size. Soos, the yurts were for rent for $54 a night! I thought that was pretty steep! Inside are bunkbeds, table/chairs and a futon looking sofa, nothing more, so I guess you provide everything just like renting a cabin. I have never done any research on yurts. My 9 yr old GD knew about them from school and told me what I'd see inside before we peeked through the window that day. So the furnishings must be standard yurt decor. I forgot to ask her about the hole in the roof, though.

Oh, THANKS for the Congrats on the twins. No fertility meds either. It's still pretty early into the pregnancy so we are hopeful that all goes well!!

Congrats, Lenora on your first trip. I think you di it the right way - a short trip to a nearby location. Now try a little further away, and a little further and so on. It would be nice if you can camp sometime with some other RVers who can help out if you need it. Have many happy miles.

Good job! So glad you had your first venture and all went so well.

As to the sensors - don't be surprised that they take time to change what they register. Think of it like this - if the sensor has ANY moisture on it - it will show full to that point. It takes time for the moisture to drop off. Or the little piece of tp - hahaha. Also, if you were only there for 2 days, your tank wasn't full. Since they recommend dumping the black tank full - and they recommend you use enough water every time - if you're only using a couple days - I fill with water before dumping to at least 3/4 full by looking in the tank from the top.

And when I would be heading somewhere to sit a bit - I'd clean the tank out by filling it with water (or better, ice) to 3/4 - and drive to my next location that way - then dump - and that always would take care of cleaning the sensor.

All in all - a great weekend - and you're no longer a wannabe in any fashion. So kewl.
