Saturday at last

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Saturday at last

Postby avalen » Sat Sep 12, 2009 8:35 am

Good morning ladies, its Saturday at last, and I did get to sleep in a bit, at least
it seemed like it cause the sun was up when I finally rolled out of bed. But I was
glad to get the late field trip and the cheerleaders were a great bunch. Their team
did win the game, although it was sort of expected, as the other team was really
a bunch of "small" guys for high school football, and our guys were hugh! The team
driver was telling me they go to Tucson in a few weeks for a game down there and
I'm hoping to get that one as well, cause that would be another long trip that would
pay well.
Will start my weekend out as routine, do the yard, do some laundry and pick up a
few groceries for the week.
Now I gotta go catch up on yesterdays posts. Have a good weekend and be safe.

Good morning!

I'm absolutely exhausted this a.m..... this first week of work has hit me hard. Especially as I'm not working two jobs so I'm gone for at least 10 - 11 hours each day for a while. Not so young any more,... eh? :?

I think it will be routine stuff for me today,...usual weekend housework, a dump run for sure ... and do to my fatigue some recliner time! :D

Glad you had a good trip with the bus, Ava,... the high school kids are always fun to be around, aren't they?

Hope you all have a good day,.... I'm glad it's Saturday!

Morning all!

Another hot day forecasted for us. In the 90s again, then slowly back to normal, 70s, cloudy and rain later next week.
I slept well last night. Fell asleep on the sofa around 9ish, I guess. Woke up at 11 something and went to bed.
Slept till almost 6. So that was a good night for me.

Today I'm having a mini GTG with an RVer from another forum. She'll be here around noon. I'm so excited. I'll get to show off Little Missy! She won't be towing her 5th wheel so I won't get to see hers this time.

Later this afternoon my SIL is stopping by to borrow Little Missy so he and my two GDs can go to a surprise sleepover birthday party for one of their friends wives. I guess some of the other families are bringing their rigs, too. My DD has to work in the AM so will attend the party, but won't get to sleepover in her. My SIL was going to take a tent but thought sleeping in my 'new to me' rig sounded soooo much better. lol

Need a coffee refill! Hope everyone is out doing something fun today!

Cedar, I hear you. I worked fulltime for 3 months and thought I would die. My 40 yr old co-worker said "Shirl I hope I have your stamina when I am your age" (smart a%$@^%) I didn't tell her I crawled up my sidewalkd every night. Taking it easy until you edge back into the swing of things is a good idea. I am waiting for the rain to stop so I can begin loading all the things back in the rv. I removed everything I thought someone might take before taking it to the shop. It is good to look out the kitchen window and see the Maverick sitting there.

Good Morning All from one of the most magnificent places in the USA - Monument Valley, UT/AZ. Internet has been on and offy again here in this campground. Drove all through the Valley yesterday - so beautiful. Then there was a fast moving thunderstorm over part of the Valley with the rest in sunshine and the most beautiful Rainbow. Got lots of pictures but can't post any till later as we will be on the road soon. Because the whole purpose of the trip is register Jennie in Vegas we are more, moving on then vacationing. We also managed to take in Mesa Verde ruins outside of Cortez, Co. Took lots of picutres. Haven't even posted in my blog. When we get to Vegas Will have lots of catching up to do.
Jennie is performing very well. Gasoline here is $2.99 per gallon! From a low of $2.17 in St Louis! - I guess when you're the only place around you can charge what you want. We're about 400 miles from Vegas - so don't know if we'll be there tonight or tomorrow. Tomorrow I hope. Best post before connection is gone.
Hope all have a wonderful day.

Well, I guess I shouldn't say it, but I just can't help myself.....Every day is Saturday for us retirees! Going to a Zumba class at the gym in a couple of hours and then to Target for a few things. Told the BF I would go out and light the fridge in his 5th wheel that he has parked here, he has a guy coming to look at it on Monday. It was only 100 yesterday, but humid so it might as well have been 106 like the day before. Looks like it'll be hot today, too. Some housework, and look up some info for him about his satelite on the new trailer. He could only get half of his channels on Dish, and I was thinking that there's a switch on the satelite to change it to Dish. It might be set up for Direct. Anyway, I still have the paperwork from mine, so hopefully there's some info in there on how to set it up. The guy he bought it from didn't know if his dad had Dish or Direct. Just taking it slow and easy. I worked my butt off yesterday fixing the 12ft sliding gate on my fence and putting a new part and cleaning my BBQ. Hope everyone has a great day!

Regular's 3.06 here, but diesel is 2.79....finally lower than regular! Good news for me as I have 2 vehicles that drink the stinky stuff and one of them (and I'm not saying which one) is a dieselholic....she tanks up on 100 gal at a time and then sticks a big ol' hose in and starts sucking! I've tried and tried to get her to go to the meetings, but she digs her rubber in and says "I don't need no stinkin' meeting, just fill me up and deal with it!" sigh, she has a mind of her own, that's for sure.
