Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Cool Thursday a.m. at 6000 feet

Good Morning All - We are in Walsenburg, CO at around 6000 feet. Sun is shinning brightly and it is pretty cool in here. Going to cross the mountains today to Utah. Guess The Driver will find out how well Jennie handles and pulls today. So far so good. Except we keep forgetting to buy windshield wipers - Hopefully we won't need them today. We have just been making miles and stopping for the night up to now. Not too much to see anyway - but lots of flat land and crops.
saw this on another site - thought you all might get a kick out of it. I have been able to keep up my blog at least till now. See ya later - Coffee just finished brewing.

Good morning Carol,

That is some "camper",.... hee hee.....

Glad that Jennie is going well for you. You are at 6000' and that is higher than our tallest Adirondack Peak. Mt. Marcy is 5344', and you have to hike up a trail to get to the summit.

I'm at work, one of the perks of being the monitor of the highschool computer lab is I get computer time when there is one available. So, just checking in to say that i hope everyone has a great day!

Good morning ladies.
Looks like you are making good time Carol - in Colorado already. If you'd been in the SE, you would not have forgotten those windshield wipers. Lots of rain past couple of days.
Pretty here this morning. Should have sunshine all day.
Niece is continuing to improve and is expected to be released from hospital later today. She will be staying with her mother for a while.
I had the day pretty much to myself yesterday for the first time in a long while. I somehow managed to ignore a big to do list and ended up wasting most of the day. Got to do better than that today. No long nap anyway.
Hope you have a very good day what ever you have on your lists.

An afternoon (or morning) nap does wonders for both the body and the soul. Good for you! :)

Good morning to all.

My RV is in the shop today getting $1000 + worth of service and repairs. Also having cracked (in Canada) windshield replaced at no cost to me (FL insurance law). That doesn't count a new refrigerator which is the next thing....expect that will be at least $1000 too. Yikes!

So far I've not accomplished anything today....and it's almost half over. That afternoon nap sounds like a good idea to me!

Good morning Gals,
I'm just finishing my morning coffee and thought I'd see what ya all were up to. I just got back from a trip up to Anchorage the airplane kinda trip. My ERA is stored in Seattle and I'm going to get her the 2nd of October and head south to New Mexico for the winter. She stays but I have to come home after a couple of weeks in the sun (hope).

It's raining in Juneau and I don't expect it to stop until it snows now. Have had a beautiful summer but winter is definatly comming.

Where are you heading I missed that post?

Good afternoon ladies. It has been raining, with T-storms for most of the night and morning. It's such a shame that my gardening plans have to be put on hold. :D I did the weeding at the beginning of the week and was going to put down that material to keep them away. The best laid plans and all that. Now I'll just cuddle with the the puppies and check out what is going on here. Safe travels to all. Linda

Well, it's way past morning, but thought I'd post anyways. We pulled into a campground that is about 1/2 between Banner Elk and Boone, NC. Going to visit some friends before heading off to see gk's. It's cold and overcast, a big difference from what it was in Tampa. Cedar, use to hike Mt. Marcy when I went to summer camp in the Adirondacks. In fact, participated in my first sit-in there. We were suppose to hike, but it had poured that night and I did not want to try that long hike in those conditions. So I just sat down and refused to go. After a few arguments, I convinced a few other kids to follow me and eventually only the ones that wanted to go went. Boy, were they sorry-muddy and very slippery and took much longer than usual. Little did I know, that was a preview of things to come  OK, time for some hot chocolate. carold

Hi Everybody!

Sorry I missed morning coffee again, but here I am anyway! It sounds as if you all had busy stuff to do today, if you weren't napping!

School was pretty good today----no Phys. Ed. However, the most difficult behavior problem student we have is back for the first time since the first day of school-----he had to go to the city for a funeral for a relative, and encountered many of his blood relatives whom he hasn't seen in eons.....including his mother who left him as a young boy on the doorstep of his grandmother and the sister she kept as she "was the good child."

Sigh---it's amazing to me that these kids can function at all, given the lives they have been dealt. BUT, when one told me today, "You can't make me do that----I have ADHD!" I lost it, and said, "OH YEAH? That does NOT give you the right to be disruptive in classes and to be rude to anyone, and to ignore what you have been asked to do!"

Each day is like an episode in an intricate novel! Certainly nothing dull about it!

Molly and I are off for a walk before supper!
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

I left yesterday heading to an RVW rally in Kerrville, TX. It started raining on me and slowed me down so I hit Houston at 4:00 in rush hour traffic in the rain. I made myself keep going until I got to the other side of Katy before I stopped. This morning I made the rest of the trip in the rain. I know they need rain here but did it have to be this week. I bet the people around San Antonio haven't had to do much mowing. Everything is brown and I don't remember seeing any cattle.

Acadianmom, you be careful out there on the road, they are saying on the local and national news about the rain they are expecting this weekend. I know you went through Beaumont, they got 5 inches in 2 hours today. We're expected to have 90% chance of rain for the next 3 days and they are telling everyone where there will be sand and sandbags. I sure don't want to flood again, in 2006 we had 6-8inches in the house, don't want nightmare again.
