LABOR DAY MONDAY 2009

GOOD MORNING TO ALL!!

Another amazing day here in the Adirondacks----Labor Day 2009. Temperature is 40 degrees, sky is a bit cloudy for the first time in nearly two weeks, but with no rain in sight. It's toasty here in the trailer with my heater on! Molly woke me up when the deer came to check out the apple tree. She was very leery of the newly positioned chair and camera I have set up to capture her, and so took a different path today. I am hoping I got at least one shot of her on the camera, however.

Today will be a rest day, as I got the chimney under control yesterday, and did my laundry. I hate to cut back the raspberries yet to allow me to set up the ladder to finish painting the front of my deck, as there are still fresh ripe beries on those bushes to pick. I'll wait another week for that. The kids will come back in a couple of weeks to finish assembling the stove pipe to install the clean flue, as I need to buy a 6 inch collar for the woodstove in order to make that safer. Pay day is this coming Friday, and that will be a very welcome happening!

Coffee tastes good and feels good on my cold hands----hazlenut with vanilla creamer----No goodies out here, or even in the house at this point, although I do have some frozen omelets I could zap in the microwave. So c'mon in and let us know what's going on in your world today!
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

Good Morning All from Mulberry Grove, Illinois. Only did 193 miles yesterday - most of it in a light rain. Did find out one thing we forgot to check on Jennie - the windshield wipers. Today looks like it will be dry. Hope so. Other then that all went well. The Direct TV is working good - we are using the park's WiFi. Trying to remember where I put everything in here. (For one thing my map of Indiana and Illinois ) Do have a road atlas I used though. I like to see an overall view of the trip - not just the tiny screen on Gypsy - though she did a real good job yesterday finding Flying J and the campground.
For some reason can't set the clock on the microwave - it just wants to cook the time......
Today we're not going far either - to Higgensville? Mo.
Did update my blog last nite.
Hope you all have a very good day.

good morning ladies,
ahhh.......the coffee tastes good
got alot done yesterday, the livingroom and kitchen got scrubbed down and today
I'll strip the bedroom. Such an easy task to clean house when its so little
and don't want to forget the bathroom and hallway area too. Its not as bad cause
it usually gets done quite often, probably as often as doing dishes.
Will get out in the yard today as well and tidy up out there. Everything is drying
out very nicely so I won't have to walk in mud while I rake the yard, and I might
even get some more gravel scooped out. But will see how I feel when that time
comes cause I certainly don't want to overdue it. Half the yard is gravel still and
the dogs walk tippy toe on it cause it hurts.
Grabbing another cup of coffee and having a little toast to fill the hole in my
tummy. Have a great day and be safe.

Good morning sisters!

My last day of summer vacation,... tomorrow back to the routine of the job at school. I'm actually ready for that and to settle down and do my two jobs until November,... then just the one school job until next June. Hey,.. I'll finish that extra tax collecting job at school just in time for the beginning of basketball season! Yay!

VTChris stopped by for an overnight mini-GTG here on her way south to FL. We had a great visit. I'll post some pics on the GTG page.

Hope you all are having a wonderful Labor Day holiday!

Good Morning everyone! Hope your days are going good this Labor Day! We cooked a brisket on the pit yesterday evening so that means WHOOOO HOOOOO, no major cooking for me today! Doesn't mean no major cleaning for me, thought, house is a mess. We got a storm late last night and when I went to get the newspaper this morning the neighbor across the street had lost limbs out of an old dead tree, blown pieces across the road and in our yard too, not too bad, but shows the strength of the wind!
